I"m staring in to the mirror, brushing my chestnut hair. Then I pull it into a messy braid, and pull on a wool sweater. I slip on a pair of black leggings and a pair of combat boots. I run up stairs to grab an apple before walking out the door to my crappy car. I hate driving this clunker when I have my cherry red convertible in the garage. But if I want to keep my regular student image up I have to act like any other teenager.
I finally reach my prison also know as Hollywood High School park in the middle of the lot. I walk straight to my locker where Jamie Adams my bully is waiting for me with her "gang". Sorry for the air quotes but I don't know if they can be called a gang if they spend every Friday night cheering for boys.
"Wow shocker look who's here girls. Fancy running into you here." Jamie says
"Oh yeah who knew I would be at MY locker" I respond sarcastically.
"HA HA HA. You're hilarious". Jamie says shoving me into the wall and walking away. As soon as Jamie and the "gang" leaves Alex my best friend walks over.
"You okay E?" she asks helping me up. Alex is the only person in this hell hole who I can trust and that is why she is the only that know my secret. I am a screenwriter, and not just a wimpy film festival screenwriter but a real screenwriter. Who has written successful movies with real actors like Tom Hanks, or Channing Tatum. I am Epiphany Brooke. My latest movie was teen fiction about a social experiment and it made $300,000,000, which is more then twice the average movie. I do most of my writing over the summer, weekend, and of course at night.
I would love to stop being the school loser, but that would mean giving up a regular life forever, and I don't know if I"m ready for that yet.
"Yeah I'll be fine I just wish everyone would know the truth." I reply opening my locker and shoving my bag in before grabbing my English textbook.
