A month has passed.

Early dawn, I went to the forge room to see what sword I got. Taking the sword into my hands, I chanted the same old incantation. Soon a man stood in front of me, giving a different expression from what I had expected to be.

"Ookurikara. I don't plan to get along with you. Leave me alone." Taking back his sword from my hand, he was about to walk off when I grabbed the hem of his raven-coloured blazer. He looked at me, obviously annoyed. I then scoffed back, returning the favour.

"Not so fast, Ookurikara. How are you supposed to go to your room when you just came to my citadel for the first time? Shut up and follow me." Releasing my grip, I walked in front and led him to his room. With no polite expressions said, he shut himself in his room, cutting all ties when I was trying to be a kind soul.

"Oh? There's a new sword?" The fox said while chewing on his fried tofu, immersed in its taste and texture.

"Yes, Ookurikara. He locked himself up like a criminal. I have no idea what's on his head...", I said with annoyance, stuffing yet another spoonful of rice into my mouth. I wasn't born to be going through things like that.

"Maybe I'll pay him a visit, then perhaps a sparring or battle. Let's see if he works well with us."

"Great idea. He's in your hands now, so teach him the rules here. I'll be doing paperwork today."

"As you wish."

After breakfast, the fox went to the new sword's room and announced his presence.

The door slid open with an annoyed expression seen on the dragon's face.

"Ookurikara, is that right? I am Kogitsunemaru, pleased to meet you. From now on please help Nushi-sama on whatever she does. The only rule here is that no one is allowed to break and disappear. And one more thing-"

He took a step nearer, just next to his face, and spoke in a rather cold voice that even the female have not heard before.

His dark and protective side.

"If you do anything that would hurt her in any way, I'll cut you down. I'll still cripple you even you don't die."

The dragon could feel terror in between his words, as the fox turned and left to help the sage.

"Everyone, ready for your battle?"

They nod their heads and took out their swords, ready to face their enemies.

"Let's send out the scouts." He said as two miniature-like soldiers were dispatched, scouting for the enemy formation.
