"Enjoying Canada so far?" My mom asks somewhat suspiciously from the kitchen table since I walked in the apartment with a girly smile on my face. Something my dad doesn't exactly see from me everyday.
"Yeah! So um, I have plans for 11 tomorrow. A new friend is showing me around."
"That's fine! But I want you to take your sisters too." My mom tells me.
"Please mom! It's a guy showing me around! I can't take my little sisters with me today!"
"I don't understand what's the big problem with it. I'd like your sisters out doing something too while I finish unpacking the rest of our stuff."
"Fine..." I give in and then ask,
"Wait... So have you guys already eaten dinner?"
"Yeah, John came over and cooked for us tonight. He saved a plate for you in the kitchen." SHe explains.
"Oh okay." It suprised her even more when I skipped to the kitchen. There I saw a man with short chocolate brown hair and startling green eyes. I'm probably a little taller than he is.
"You must be Lauren! Your mother's told me a lot about you." he greets me.
"SHe has?" I ask wondering what he told him. "Yeah. Here you can eat while we chat some if that's okay with you." John offers.
"Okay." I say as I take the plate and eat standing. The spaghetti she cooked tastes pretty good.
"So on to more important matters... Who is it?"
