Romance.

It's a big thing to everyone.

Everyone wants to find that perfect someone.

Well we can.

Everyone i know has this necklace given to us at birth, it would either be in the form of an animal or a random shape. This necklace starts to warm and light up when you get closer to your soul mate, when you're further away from them it starts to turn cold as ice and it starts to discolor from its beautiful white gold color to black.

It was made to keep guys and girls from getting hurt or played in relationships that were never meant to be.

.....Though some people don't care if they get hurt and date people that their necklace didn't choose.

Then there is me, I'm Cambree. I'm one of those didn't care about my necklace and started dating anyway.

My necklace warmed up when i first saw my boyfriend, Jace, and it stayed that way for a little while, but its been dying down lately. I'm ignoring it though, I'm in love with him.

I'm a preppy girl, super social, captain of the dance team and girls soccer team and pretty popular with everyone

He is captain of the soccer team, super fit, has a perfect personality, is a super sweet boyfriend  and also very popular.

We're the "perfect" couple in our school. Nobody knows if our necklaces say were meant to be or not, it's none of their business. But i know they will find out eventually....

Well on to something different my mother and father found each other in high school, they always tell me that when they first touched their necklaces burnt up. I honestly don't believe that I will be as lucky as they were so i guess that's why i fell in love with Jace, he loves me for me and it means a lot to me.

Well I'm Cambree Desantis and this is my story.

"so how long has it been for you and Jace now?" my best friend Sophia asked me

"going on 11 months now" i answer back with a small smile

"wow still going strong even through both of your situation"

"Soph you said you wouldn't bring that up anymore, i know this is wrong but our feelings are true and if i do find my soulmate ever, I'm sure he'll understand"

"okay, I'll stop bringing it up, but you know it wasn't just a miracle that me and Chance found each other so young"

you see Sophia found her love Chance in the 7th grade and they've been dating ever since and they have already planned their wedding, for after college thankfully.

I love my best friend to death but at the same time I hate her sometimes for being so lucky.

Her parents are so laid back and fun, she's never had a bad hair day in her life, she's model material with beautiful auburn hair and bright blue eyes. OH she's also captain of the cheerleading team.

While I have dark brown hair and indigo eyes, too much hips and not enough chest. and my parents aren't afriad to ground me for being one minute late for curfew.

right then my phone dinged, and I looked to see who it was

it was a text from Jace

"hey baby"

"Jace?"

you blushed a deep red and she laughed at you

"hey :*"

"do you wanna go out tomorrow night, to the movies or something"

"sure :D"

"good ;) pick oyu up at 6?"

"perfect"

"well goodnight hun :*"

"goodnight babe <3"

"I do not get your situation sometimes, when you talk to him you smile so big like he actually is your soulmate, but he's not," she says with a bewildered look on her face, " i'm so confused what does this mean!"

i just chuckled at her, threw a popcorn kernal at her and continued watching our movie, Mean Girls, which is like a tradition for us to watch during our sleepovers.

we could recite this movie sleeping.

throughout the rest of the night we would qoute the movie and laughed at each other like this was normal, though to us it was.
