supresa!

7 years later

"Up at at 'em!" Emily yelled, clapping her hands together loudly and repeatedly. "If you don't want to take the bus, get up now!"

Eden walked out of her room, rolling her eyes. "Shut up!" She groaned, tossing her head back. Walking past her mom, she walked into the bathroom without saying another word.

Emily sighed, opening the bathroom door. "Keep on with the attitude and you'll be walking to school." She said, peeping her head into the door. "I suggest you drop it."

"Whatever." Eden mumbled, glaring at her mom. "Bye." She smiled sarcastically, roughly pushing the door shut.

"Mama! Mama! Look!"

Emily smiled at the sound of the child's voice. "What is it, Ro?" She asked the tan, green-eyes boy.

"I finished my model!" He exclaimed excitedly, spinning the solar system model around in circles. "And mommy helped me work the lights!"

Emily smiled proudly. "That's awesome, little dude! I bet you're going to get a hundred!" She enthused, ruffling his floppy brown hair.

Ronan smiled. "I sure hope so! I spent all week working on it!" He giggled before running back to the room he shared with his brothers.

There was something different about Ronan that separated him from his siblings and moms.
Like the fact that he enjoyed homework. And absolutely hated even the thought of procrastination.

"The sooner you get it done, the more fun you can have!" He had told Isaiah one night at dinner; he was complaining about the half sheet of math problems his teacher had handed out. Isaiah had simply rolled his eyes, and mumbled a faint, "loser," to his brother.

And he was always doing any extra work he possibly could. For fun.

Ronan was upbeat, cheerful, happy-go-lucky, and a bit of a nerd. Isaiah was laid back, sort of lazy and quiet. Dylan kept mostly to himself.

Eden was snarky and rude, very similar to Alison; which was enough of an explanation. Charlotte was loud and outgoing, but not the brightest bulb in the box.

Ronan was like the poster child for perfect children, in Emily's eyes. Not that any of her kids were any less perfect (looking, as Hanna would say).

When Eden walked out of the bathroom fifteen minutes later, showered and dressed, she simply looked at her mom, huffed, and walked back into her room.

"What's her problem?" Charlotte asked, walking out of her room.

"She's thirteen. What do you expect from her?" Emily laughed softly, resisting the urge to roll her eyes at her eldest daughters attitude.

"I heard that!" Eden's voice shouted.

Emily and Charlotte looked at each other for a few mere seconds before bursting into a fit of laughter.

"Go get dressed. Your mom is making breakfast." Emily told the now brown-eyed brunette.

"Planet Brown Eyes, Planet Blue Eyes, wake up." Emily said as she walked into her sons room.
