Chapter 3 ~

We were going to be early to the ceremony, I could feel it. Then again, maybe not. I heard some light and small footsteps approaching me from behind. I quickly turned around and held my arms out. A small girl ran into them. We hugged each other tightly. I smiled when her scent filled my nose. Vanilla and freshly cut grass. One name came to mind. Sora.

I pulled away but kept my hands on her small shoulders. Her long, cream colored hair, was pulled into two side ponytails. Her hair ended in the middle of her biceps. Her light pink, almost grey, eyes bore into my own. I smiled. She also looked great in her new uniform. Sora is only four foot nine, so I tower her. Then again, she's only 14.

"Sasuna! Are you excited for today?!" She bounced up and down. I chuckled and nodded my head in a positive. A huge smile broke out across her face. I smiled back and so did Jinan. Her smile is contagious.

"Hey guys! Starting a party without us?"a voice greeted. I turned around and there was the Eiji twins. Gemma was in the lead while her brother, Isamu was trailing behind her. He sure could be overprotective of his younger sister sometimes.

They looked what you could describe as unusual in their uniforms. They both had jewel pink eyes, while their hair was a light lavender. It even looks grey sometimes. Her long hair flows free and reaches her midback. Isamu's hair reaches the bottom of his shoulder blades, but keeps it pulled back with a red ribbon. His bangs ended at the top of his eyes, save for some of the longer pieces framing his face. While Gemma is the same height as me, Isamu is just a half inch taller.

I raised my hand in greeting. Gem grasped my hand and clamped my shoulder. The girl is a tomboy. Luckily, her brother is more sophisticated. He just settled for a highfive. I smiled and they both smiled back, but more mischievously. Before I could say anything, someone gripped my right shoulder. I flipped them over my shoulder and sat on them, pinning them. He smiled up at me and I scowled. Silent little bugger.

My cousin, Vadim Shou. We aren't blood, he was adopted by my aunt.His medium length steel grey hair is glinting in the sunlight. His dark blood red eyes hinting humor. His bangs obscured the corners of his eyes and reached down to his upper lip. They were cut at an angle, so that they formed an upside down V. He was wearing his signature chain link necklace along with his uniform.

"Always on your guard," he smirked. I growled, gripped his forearm, and helped him stand up with me. He smacked my shoulder in a friendly manner. I lightly punched his in return. "Duh. How would she have made squad leader if she wasn't always on her guard?" I heard a female voice say.

Yoki Tsubame. Her metallic cobalt blue hair, elegantly flows down to her butt. Yoki's olive, almost pale, skin helps make her hair strikingly beautiful and unique.While her bangs are covering the top half of her eyes. They look kinda choppy and like to clump together, so they don't get into her sight often. Her light pink eyes are sparkling with an inner light. We are the same height, but her legs seemed longer than my own.

"Finally! Someone agrees with me!" I hold my left arm out, motioning at Yoki, while I faced the others. I am smiling, so the others know I'm kidding.

"You almost back-handed my face," I heard a male voice say behind me. I turned around and gave him a toothy grin. I heard him behind me and decided to mess around with him.

Lucan Fulvius. He has long and full blonde hair, that ends at the base of his neck. His bangs are long, but parted so they stay out of his eyes. Lucan's eyes are.....unusual. His left eye is blue, while the other is brown. He has two symbols on his left cheekbone and his cheek. I don't know what they say, but Lucan says it's Chinese. He is the same height as me, but he looks a little more slim that I am.

"That was the plan," I replied cheekily. He grinned back at me. I held out my hand, so he could shake it. He firmly grasped it in his own hand and shook it.

My smile grew and I turned on my heel, slapping him in the face with my hair. I chuckled to myself and began to walk forward. I logo,ed over my shoulder to catch his reaction. He looked surprised for a few moments, but he just replied with a smile. He caught up to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. Jinan walked up to my right side and did the same.

I laughed and wrapped my arms around their waists. Then everyone got in on the action. Isamu was on the far left, next came Yoki, Lucan, me, Sora squeezed next to me, Jinan, Gemma, and then Vadim. All of us hugged the other, in this weird formation, while trying to walk to the Clan Mother's hut. We were a line of laughing and smiling teens in uniform. Walking towards the woman who will give someone in our squadron a gift.

OUO It's nice to see ya again! So I had to make a tough decision with my characters.... Instead of introducing 24 new characters in these next few chappies, I took out four of them so you guys will only have to remember 20. I would've taken out more, but I kinda got attached to them :/ PLEASE! PRETTY PLEASE! I BEG YOU! Please tell me how I'm doing and how I did with the character descriptions. I want to know if I can do something better or if I'm doing something wrong. Please! Well, enough of my begging.... SEE Y'ALL IN THE NEXT CHAPPIE!!!!
