The Beast

The Goddess waltzes past the walls of her palace.
Purple perfection, magic in every crevice.

The knight approaches the flaming beast,
A challenge.

And the fairies twirl on porcelain toes,
Hoping to lift their Goddess's woes.

The Goddess clings to columns of her castle and watches the beast plunge though the knight.
She lets her tears fall.

What a terrible sight.

She mourns him.
Alone.

And the fairies die.
And the world goes grey.
And the beast extinguishes.
