Chapter 15
It was fourth block Spanish I, and the gang sat in the back of the classroom while Senora Oswalt instructed the class.
"I don't see why I need Spanish, it's not like I'm moving to Mexico any time soon," said Dahvie.
"La quiero pagocha!" said CC.
"What the hell does that even mean?"
"Jesus!" said Senora Oswalt. "Que la hoy?"
"Uh," he looked at the weekly calendar on the wall. "Jueves?"
"Si," she said annoyed. "Quiet!"
"Yes, senora."
"Thank you."
"Since when do you listen to teachers?" said Michaela.
"Since I got written up by Mrs. Engel," Dahvie explained.
"Okay, alumnos y alumnas. Pair up and work on your vocab," said Senora Oswalt.
So, Marissa paired up with Ashley, Michaela with Jayy, Lori with Dahvie, Jake with Zach, CC with Andy, and Jinxx with his new girlfriend Sammi.
"I don't get the point in this," Ashley said to Marissa. "I'm not gonna need Spanish for my career."
"Me, either, but we need it to graduate. Do you want to be stuck in this hell-hole another year?"
"No," he said.
"Then tell me the Spanish word for kitchen."
"La cocina. Do you want to come over after school?"
"Si, and yes," she said with a smile.
"Bueno."
Meanwhile, Andy and CC were doing their vocab and CC kept giving the same answer for every word.
"Garden?" said Andy.
"La quiero pagocha!" CC answered.
"No. Door?"
"La quiero pagocha!"
"Wrong, again. Sink?"
"La quiero pagocha!"
"Stop saying that!" Andy said, slapping CC across the face.
"La quiero pagocha," CC said sadly.
"That's it! You're on your own," Andy said, abandoning CC.
"But... La quiero pagocha!" CC called to him.
"What does that even mean?!"
"It means keep your voice down in my classroom, Mr. Biersack," said Senora Oswalt.
"Sorry, senora," he said. "We'll be quieter."
"We?" said CC. "La quiero pagocha!"
"Oh, God," said Andy.
