Just my luck; the clouds had reached their maximun capacity of water just as I finished work. What a great time for them to empty their contents. My hand held the door open, my body reluctant to take the first step out of the shop. Luckily, I brought my coat with the hood, rather than the one without, but this didn't make me any more willing to walk home in this weather.

Knowning that it won't calm, I just had to do it. Lifting my right foot down the steps to the shop, I quickly locked up behind me, then shoving my keys in my inside pocket, protecting them from the drenching that would be inevitable from the outside pocket. Being the last one working tonight ment that it was my responsibility to lock up; a duty that I was trusted with once a week.

I worked in a beauty store. Selling a range of make-up, hair products, perfumes, skin care, etc. I was deffinitely happy with the job, being a big fan of all that girly stuff enabled me to be happy at work, knowing that I'm working with what I enjoyed. The only downside being the lengthy distance I had to walk back to my house.

The rain always made this neighbourhood look so dark, miserable, and dangerous. Something that made me hurry along the path even faster. My blue vans were now a more navy colour, my beige coat a dark brown, my previous good mood now a bad one. The occaisional car drove down the rather long road that I was currently travelling down. Puddles on the roads being splashed up and soaking all my right side from the cars speeding by; obviously in a rush to get out of this rainy hell.

I noticed the quiet area, no one wanting to take a step out of their front doors, I couldn't blame them, this weather turning everyones day into an indoor one. Thinking about the rain sped up my legs. Travelling at such a pace they were beginning to ache on my thighs; I didn't care at that moment.

After what seemed like a lifetime my house was finally in sight. My eyes lightend with the thought of the warm air, pyjamas and a cup of tea. My numb blue hands reached for my keys as I was a few steps from my door. Unlocking it and stepping inside I felt a gust of warm air engulf my soaking body. A sigh was let out as I rushed up the stairs to hurry and get dry. I flung my wet clothes into the washing basket, pushing them to the bottom of my to-do list and got all cosy in my fluffy pyjamas.

As I lazily trailed downstairs a brown envolope caught my eye. I must not of noticed it when I came in before, my thoughts too focused on getting changed. I had an idea of what it'd be, you see, a few weeks ago I applied to an interviewing job. This ment I was paid to sit down for 10 minutes or so to interview famous people. In my opinion it was my ideal job, I was into the fascinating world of celebrities. I only got the oppertunity because my close friend Rebecca has an uncle who was in need of a worker, and because Rebecca already had a job she loves, she decided to ask me, obviously I took the offer.

I hopefully lifted the envolope from the ground, mentally crossed my fingers in hope that this was good news. I teared open the well-stuck seal and pulled out the proffesional-looking letter; whilst carelessly letting the envolope fall to the ground.

'We are happy to inform you that you have an interview with Paul Nevison, who will be your manager. A few simple questions will be asked to see if you are suited for this job.

Interview date: 6th November

We thank you for your application, see you soon Mrs Kelsey Alpen

Yours faithfully'

I squealed with excitement. A sigh of relief left my mouth as a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders. This had been stressing me for a while as it is a big oppertunity for me, so to finally hear good news filled me with joy.
