Chapter 8: Two Cold-Hearted Friends

"Hahaaha" A demonic voice said. "Huh" I said.

I turned around and a demon was standing behind us. "Who are you" Enki said. "I am The Demon Warlock" it said. "The Demon Warlock" I muttered. He laughed and then said "We are enemies, Irene". "What? How do you know my name" I asked. "Childhood" He said. "Zepar" I said. He smirked and I asked "What happened to you". "After you left the village, I looked around for you and never found. A witch came up to me and cursed me to be like this...thing. I found you in the forest with that guy and my heart broke. I loved you and..." Demon said. Then Enki transformed and made The Demon Warlock disappear. He transformed back and said "you're welcome". "Enki he was telling me something" I said crying. I fell to my knees and cried. Enki walked over to me and comforted me. I screamed that him and then said " Zepar is now a Demon Warlock and my old friend is a.......Shadow Knight". "What" Hyria said. "Yes I'll show you" I said. I focused my memories and then a little magic orb came out of my mind. I used my magic and then the memory played like a movie.

Memory POV:

I was walking thru the forest to find my sister until something pushed me to a tree. "Look time no see" a voice said. I looked up to see who pushed me and I saw a boy my age with blood red armor with black accents. His eyes were red and had a red glow coming out of his eyes. "Who are you" I asked. He laughed. His laugh was sinister, cold, like all of the goodness was washed away. Then he gave me a cold grin, almost like the Cheshire cat's grin. "You don't remember me...It's me Alex" He said putting his big purple sword on the dirt ground. He smiled and ran his fingers against my cheek. Then without knowing I blushed. He then put the tips of his fingers on my lips and with his other hand he push a strand of my hair behind my cheek. I looked to see my flower crown scattered across the dirt floor and then I looked back at Alex. Fear, Terror, Death was all I thought at that moment. "My Irene, you know how much I admired you for so long" He said. Then the glow of his eyes died out and his eyes went to a light blue color. Alex put his hand to my chin and pushed my chin to make me look at him. "I loved your smile, your laugh, your independence, All until you save us from that shadow spirit. It was my chance to show you I wasn't a puny boy who couldn't fight his own battles. Well I woke up, you weren't yourself. You managed to isolate yourself from all of us. You played with my feelings, I didn't know you were so ignorant" he said calmly. I then fell down and I look up at him and ask "Tell me, what are you". He pulled me up and then I put my head on his shoulder. He turned his head and said "I am a....Shadow Knight".
