Dane was taking videos of the musical when Declan walked up behind him.
"Hey" said Declan.
Dane jumped a little and turned around. "Hi" he replied with a blush creeping onto his face.
"I have s-something I want to show you" Declan told Dane nervously. Declan walked backstage and Dane followed. Dane had always secretly loves Declan so he was hopping this would be something romantic, though he doubted it.
"Here, Molly wanted you to see this, I don't know why though...." Declan said pointing at piece of blue foam with a big penis painted on it. Dane had an expression of pure disappointment on his face. He had really hopes that it would have been something sweet. As Declan went to walk away his hand accidentally bumped Danes groin. The two exchanges awkward looks with blush on their faces.
"S-sorry" Declan mutters and hurried to the stage. Declan was standing around waiting for something to do. As he waited he though about the flowers he had hidden backstage. That's what he originally was going to show Dane but he changes his mind at last minute. Declan was debating on weather today will be the day he confesses his love or not. Declan eventually decided that he's been hiding for too long and that he would finally confess. Declan and Dane kept exchanged awkward glances through out musical practice. As much as Declan wanted to talk to Dane he couldn't bring up the courage to. Every time he attempted to talk to Dane he thought about the flowers and got all flustered. Everyone had always known that the two had liked each other but on that day it was so obvious that even the stupidest kids understood what was going on. The end of practice was nearing and Declan walked up to Dane.
"Hey Dane, I have something I want to give you" Declan said with more confidence then he really had.
"Ok, what is it" Dane said getting excited.
"You'll see, just wait here, I'll go get it" Declan hurried to go get the flowers. It took Declan a while to find the flowers but when he got back he was shocked. Dane was gone. Declan felt heart broken but checked his phone to see if Dane texted him why he was gone. Sure enough there was a text from Dane.
"Sorry I had to leave my mom was waiting for me, can you give me the thing tomorrow?" The text read.
"Sure." Declan texted back. Feeling crushed Declan went home and cried himself to sleep. Dane did the same at his house. He was so upset that he had to leave before getting his present from Declan.
The next day passed so slowly for both the boys. Declan and Dane just wanted it to be time for musical practice. Neither of them could focus in there classes. Which sucked for Dane because he had a test that he failed due to thinking about Declan. In 8th hour Dane had a day dream about himself and Declan. In the day dream the two of them had been having a sleep over. The boys were just laying down and talking, Declan had his hands behind his head. Dane scooted over towards Declan and rested his head on Declan's chest. When Dane did that Declan put his arms around Dane and flip himself so that he was over Dane. Declan and Dane starred into each others eyes right before Declan slowly and softly started to kiss Dane. Only a couple seconds after they started kissing, Dane was brought back into reality by the bell. Dane didn't notice until the bell rang that he had been drooling. There was only one more class left tell Dane got his present. As time went on Declan became more nervous but Dane became more excited. When the time came for musical Dane hurried to find Declan.
"So what did you want to give me?" Dane asked Declan, trying not to sound too excited.
"Oh I'll go get, now actually wait here this time." Declan said with his mouth curving up into a nervous smile. Dane was still there when Declan got back. Declan held out a bouquet of flowers. "Here, I really like, no I love you Dane, I'm not sure how you fe-" Declan spoke quickly until he was cut of by Dane kissing him. They were right in the middle of a busy hall way and surprisingly no one noticed. When the two pulled apart Dane was actually smiling for the first time in his life.
"I love you too Declan" Dane said as he wrapped his arms around Declan. They spent the rest of musical practice with each other. From that day on the two had barely ever stopped being with one another.
