"Derick....Derick.....DERICK!!!" my dad said trying to wake me up as I adjust my eyes to see him clearly.

"Huh?" I said sitting up.

"Why didn't you show up early for roll call today? " he said pacing the wooden floor.

"I thought that was supposed to be next week when the recruitment starts" I said hurrying to get dressed in my training uniform.

"Well, I sent you a text reminding you to be on the field by 5" he said.

"Coach Tim had took all our phones yesterday " I said exiting out the door to head out.

"Damn it!" he said mumbling under his breath.

Once I show the coaches my talents I'll have my dad off my back for a while, I bet he hasn't even slept yet.

"Just show them what you've got OK?" he said patting me on the back as I ran towards the field to catch up with the time sitting down listening to the head coach of the Green Bay Packers.

"Alright!!, listen up!...I am Mike McCarthy but people call me Coach Mike, I will be observing each and every one of your skills and techniques on the field which is very important to have when your going through draft pick, but if you guys prove to me that your worth recruiting then there is a possibly that you can be on my NFL team once some of  y'all graduate and get everything organized" he said loud and clearly for us to hear.

Everybody was nervous, I could feel the tension around the whole team, nobody spoke, not even Joshua...

"The first person up is Derick Styles" Mike McCarthy said searching through the group to see where am I so I got up and stood.

"YES SIR!" I said loud.

"I want you to show me how fast can you run while navigating the ball" he said with a evil looking grin.

I am damn good at what I do best which is football so I ran as fast as I could while turning my neck looking up to the right and catching each ball at a time when they were throwing balls back to back at me and I made it to the end.  I honestly have to say I was in the zone the whole time...I felt... powerful. But, what made me nervous was the competition I was up against which was all the other players who wanted the same position I want to be in.

"Good Job" the coach said.
