6:00 AM THURSDAY 23/4/15 - RYDEN'S POV

I had woken up again at about five, but this time I hadn't gone back to sleep. I'd gotten up, had a shower, got dressed. I wrote a note to my mum and put it next to her bed, explaining that I was going out to get breakfast at a coffee shop I liked before school.

The entire way there, I had a strange, tingling feeling in my stomach. I figured it was just from hunger - I hadn't eaten the night before.

Aidan still hadn't answered my messages. I was really worrying about her - those webcam shows... she was so stupid.

"What can I get for you, Ryden?" the owner of the small café, Patricia, asked as I walked up to the counter. She knew me because I was a regular; I came here all the time to finish homework or just to hang out when I wanted to escape the crowd that was my house (my three brothers and two sisters were always everywhere).

"Double shot latte, please. Oh, and one of those banana muffins," I added.

"It'll be right with you." Patricia smiled.
