Gratitude

After all we've said and done,

I just want to do this before I'm gone,

After we both let each other be,

I want to thank you for all you've given me.

Thank you for once standing by my side,

When I'm as weak as a crannied wall

Broke as papers without a bind,

And everytime I was about to fall.

Thank you for once loving me,

Keeping me once, to love and to hold,

For giving me love as true as it can be,

And for loving me when I was unlovable.

Lastly, thank you for leaving me

In the depths of misery,

Where I discovered the hidden treasures of the world

That has always been around me.
