Linda knew how to throw a party. She threw on at least once a month. We had become really close the next couple of months, and although we dated in high school those feelings surprising didn't come back during that time. There was one particular party she threw that has stuck with me ever since. people from all around the world would attend to these parties as well as people from flicks and well known musicians.
I was drinking some wine with Miss. Gina in my arm. She was blabbing about how her ex husband was obsessed with her and wouldn't stop calling her. Linda was on the second floor looking down at the crowd of people like she was the queen. She looked like a queen. She wore a golden dress with small jewels bordering around it and had a glass of red wine in her hand. An older man came behind her and whispered something in to her ear. She smiled and followed him downstairs to her office.
I turned to Gina and asked her if she would like to dance with me. She smiled taking my hand. I led her to the dance floor and wrapped my arm around her. Can't help falling in love played in the background. Right when Gina leaned her head on my shoulder three gunshots were fired in the house making her jolt up. Everyone got onto the ground. I grabbed Gina's hand and led her behind a table. Three gangsters walked and stopped in the middle of the room. Right then Linda walked out with a gun in her hand. She shot a bullet in the air and looked around. Her emerald eyes stopped on the three gangsters.
"Gentlemen I'm gonna have ask you to leave." She calmly said.
The gangster in the middle chuckled and said. "What if we don't?" At that moment I thought for sure we were all going to die but Linda then did something I never would've expect of her. Linda pulled the trigger shooting a bullet past his head making him jolt up a bit.
"Then the next time I shoot this I will be aiming it at your head. Please leave." The gangsters slowly made their way out of the mansion. The party then continued as if that never happened. Linda stood behind the crowd with red eyes as if waiting for them to come back. I walked up to her wrapping my arm around her waist and kissed her forehead. A small smile formed on her lips.
I ended up making quite a lot of friends that night. Elizabeth Taylor who was that girl that came out in the flick 'A place in the sun'. Elvis was supposedly there but I'm pretty sure it was just a drunk fellow claiming he was the dangerous musician. I also met Eddie Baker from Detroit, Susanna Windfield from Idaho, and Rudy Morse from Ohio. They apparently we're all actors or business people or something like that. I thank the alcohol for helping me make friends. Gina and I were together all night as well. After the incident involving the gangsters Linda was no where to be seen as if she just vanished into thin air.
The crowd of drunks slowly shrunk and around 6am everyone was gone. Gina laid on Linda's couch drunkly passed out. I picked her up and took her upstairs to one of the guest bedrooms so she catch some Z's comfortably. I somehow ended up passing out on that bed as well. I believe I was just to drunk and tired to make it to my house that I just decided to sleep right there right then.
The next morning I woke up with a massive headache. I went downstairs to check if Linda had any pills and that's exactly what I found. Linda laid on the ground with a bottle of pills in her hand. Some were scattered on the ground as well as a puddle of red wine. I quickly call the ambulance and in five minutes they got there and took care of Linda.
The next couple of months went by like a blur. Linda was a bit distant during that time as if that morning I found her passed out she changed. I would check up on her from time to time but she wouldn't really talk much nor eat. She would just look at me with her big droopy green eyes and pout a little. She would just sit on her bed with a blanket covering her body. Her makeup was always smeared as if she would fix it up everyday but tears would end up forming and ruin her makeup. A cigar and bottle of wine were her two best friends those couple of months.
