Marcy didn't think Ninja's explanation made any sense at all. First, he said that he found her identity from a dream he had, then he asks if she could help them on their journey, and finally what Marcy found most unbelievable, was that there was a man who could absorb people's abilities and use them against their owners, also he was looking for a valley that hasn't been seen in 4000 years. "Why should I believe you two? Oh, and not that I care, but why do I need to come with you?" Marcy looked at Ninja, wondering if his story was true.
"How else would I know that an expert thief was coming to steal my things? The reason you need to come with us is because you're an important person called a 'key' that we need to help us unlock the Lost Valley." Ninja stuck his hand under his chair, and grabbed Marcy's things along with his money. "I'm guessing that you want your stuff back before you decide anything." Ninja handed Marcy her purse. "Oh, there's also another reason I forgot to mention.... We also want you to come with us, because Lark likes you." Ninja winked at Lark, and gave him a thumbs-up.
"What??!?!" Marcy looked at Lark, who's expression made it seem like his brain exploded.
"I don't like her, Ninja. I just think she's hot." Lark smiled, and summoned a ball of fire in his right hand. "That doesn't matter right now, though. Listen Marcy, if you don't want the world to fall into the clutches of Nero, I think you should come with us." Lark held out his hand, gesturing her to join them.
"If I grab your hand, my hand will get burned," Marcy stared at the flames surrounding Lark's right hand. "The only reason I'm going to join you is because it's for the fate of the world. No one, not even me would be able to refuse that." The look on Marcy's face made it obvious she's was reluctant to join them. Before Ninja and Lark had any time to celebrate, a female cat-like person burst through the window, shattering glass onto the floor. The cat-girl had brown hair, with brown cat ears that Ninja was pretty sure was real. Her skin was a lot more tanned than Marcy's, almost almondy. The pupils in her eyes sharpened like a cat's whenever she focused on something, her iris was light-brown. She was wearing a dark T-Shirt with the word "Meow" in white text, and tight leather biker pants. Ninja tried not to pay attention to it, but she also had a tail.
"Marcy? How could you even think about joining that idiot?" The cat-girl pointed at Lark with sharp claws, which shined in the light. "If you really are planning on joining them, bring me along with you. I'll be there to make sure he doesn't do anything funny." She glared at Lark with piercing eyes, then she looked at Ninja as if she just realized he was there. "Who're you?" Cat-girl stared at Ninja in question.
"I'm Ninja Skia, this is Lark." Ninja introduced the both of them. "No offense, but I don't think there's any way we can bring along some cat-girl that just broke in through our window on a quest to save the world. And, who are you exactly?" Ninja wasn't capable of understanding what was happening or who the girl in front of him was.
"I'm Kat, if you really need to know." Kat sat down on the chair next to Marcy, and continued staring at Marcy. "On another subject, if you want to take Marcy with you that badly you will have to pass our test, and if you do you can take me and her on this quest of yours." Kat looked at Ninja impatiently.
"Well, nice to meet you, Kat." Ninja stuck out his hand, but wasn't expecting her to shake it. "Anyways, what is this test you're talking about? Do you want us to do your homework for you or something?" Ninja pulled his hand back, and crossed his arms. Ninja noticed that Lark's eyes were finally off of Marcy.
"Dude, Ninja. That Kat girl is hotter than Marcy," Lark whispered into Ninja's ear. "I think I'm in love."
"Are you sure it's not your own stupidity you're feeling? You've said that about almost every girl you've seen on the island."
