Chapter 3. Ran and Shinichi

Crap! She saw me.
"Shinichi?"
"Huh?" Kazuha said confused.
Hattori looked at me worried.
"Oi Ran." I say trying to act casual.
And as I expected, she was yelling.
"WHERE WERE YOU ALL THIS TIME?!?!?!" She asked wiping a tear off her face. "Calm down."
I say to her. "CALM DOWN??? YOUVE BEEN GONE FOR A LONG TIME! HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?!!?!?!?!" "Just try." I say. I look at Hattori, he was in a similer situation with Kazuha. "Heiji! Why'd you run off without telling me?!?!?! "AM I THAT BAD??!?!?!?!?!" "Calm down Kazuha, I have a case to solve with Kudo."
"Well we are going too." Kazuha and Ran said at the same time. "What?!" Hattori and I said at the same time. "Wev'e made up our minds." Kazuha said. "Well you guys are not going." Hattori said. "We ARE going and you guys cannot do anything about it." Ran said while getting into her karate stance. "Yeah!" Kazuha said getting into ger aikido stance. I looked at Hattori we agreed to let them come. I took the letter out of my pocket and started following the instructions to get to the clock shop. "What is that, Shinichi?" Ran asked. "It's a letter from my old freind." I say sadly. When we went to the clock shop, we went in and saw one of the largest clocks I have ever seen. I figured that we needed more information about this shop before we going. I spotted a newspaper from lastweek, it's headline read: Mayor goes missing! I remember this...

One week ago...

Shinichi's Pov. (He is Conan right now because it was lastweek.)

Announcer: "Welcome to the annual event of... the time macheine!!" [He points at a dome shaped machine with levers on the side and a large clock on top.] "This very machine was created bt Dr. Slemston!"

(A long speech)

Dr. Slemston: "And now for the moment you've all waited for. The time macheine run! Who would like to volunteer for this test run?
How about...you! Boy with the glasses!

He points at me. "Me?" I ask nervously.
"Who else?" He asked me. "This is insane!!!" Mouri Kogoro yelled. "Conan-kun don't do it!" It was Ran. Just then mayor Raven stood up. "I will go in the boy's place!" He declared. "Very well." Dr. Slemston said.
Mayor Raven went in the machine. It closed and Dr. Slemston pulled three levers. The clock made loud sounds and then blew up!
"Dr. Slemston and Mayor Raven are gone!" I yelled.

End of flashback.

"Hattori, do you remember this incident?" I asked. "Yeah, why?" He said. "I think these to cases are connected somehow." I said. Smiling.
