"ARIA ARE YOU LISTENING"
"Um,yesss, I reply. Okay then, if you were listing what is the capital of Alaska. I knew the answer but my mind drew a total blank. I could feel my face turn red. "Um", I begin, "Um, Honolulu".
Silence.
Then, there's a snicker, then a giggle. Soon, the whole class, minus Hazel and I, are hold their stomachs and laughing. Everest is laughing the hardest. I could feel tears trying to find their way down my face. Just as the first tear is about to come out Hazel yells out"Well Everest do you know what it is". Everest stops laughing. "Its um...." That's what I thought Hazel laughed. Soon a snicker is heard. Then the whole class was laughing. Me the hardest of all.
"Its not funny" Everest yells, her face redding. Wow that makeup must be getting to her brain. Then the laughing intensifies. I quickly comprehend that I had said that last bit out loud.
"Why you little-", she practically rolls out of her chair to lunge at me. "That will be quite enough", the teacher yelled loudly. "Aria, Everest, and Hazel, if this continues I will have to contact your parents". That one sentence alone was enough for Everest to straiten in her seat. "Since you guys don't seem mature enough to continue on in history, she paused for laughter at her pun, we will be going on to language arts". All the kids pulled the huge textbook out of their desk. As I pulled mine out, the wait crushed my wrist. I dropped my textbook and yelped in pain. "You're such a fake Aria", the ever snooty Everest said. Wow, says the girl with the two dollar hair extensions. More laughter rang out.
Then, I heard the words I never wanted to experience in my school career. The teacher had said "Aria-Rae, to the principal's office."
