This is an old edited and updated chapter of mine! It's gotten a LARGE revamp, just like other chapters coming up.
Previously we have gone over a couple of sites to get free stock photos, along with an update on what copyright is. Now we're going to take a deeper dive into the best websites to find free stock photos in, along with photos of each site and their copyright notices (and I'm going to rate them out of ten).
I really want everyone to have a better understanding of where they can get the best pictures for their covers, so that they're not settling for the old way- weheartit, and google images. We should be striving to create better covers at this point, and the first step to do so is using photos that won't get you in trouble.
So, without me chatting for the next eternity, here we go- stock photo deep dive.
StockSnap.io (https://stocksnap.io/)
I like this website because all the pictures are COMPLETELY FREE and free from copyright restrictions... which includes modifying.
Many of the pictures are landscapes, but you can find some really awesome ones of people, too. If you go to the Categories tab, you will find so many great individual categories to make your search a little bit easier.
Overall, it's a great site, with completely free pictures that you can use to do whatever your heart desires. I would definitely give this website an 8/10
