So nice.

From my apartment room I can hear so much unwanted noise.

Cars, talking, animals.

It's not the best place. I know.

You don't really have much of a choice in where you sleep when your parents are like mine, though.

If you saw them years ago, you would think they were the happiest married couple you could imagine.

Then my sister was born.

They were so happy with her.

Blue eyes, perfect brown hair, nice person in general. She turned out to be a real catch.

My folks were going for two girls.

They were excited to get the results on the second child.

And I was born.

And everything wasn't great anymore.

They never really attempted to hide the fact that they were disappointed.

They didn't appreciate my existence as much as I'd liked them to.

It didn't help that I had depression.

In fact, it just made things worse.
