Courtney
Today began like any other day, I guess. But it sure didn't end normal.
I woke up, had a shower and got ready for going out to run errands. Nothing that interesting, groceries, maybe shop a bit. I brushed my wavy black hair and applied mascara to my eyes. I pulled on my favorite pair of ripped jeans and a loose tee. I grabbed my purse and pulled on my vans and set off. I got some clothes and was taking a shortcut through an alley.
A creepy feeling set over me, but I kept walking, if not a bit faster. I noticed a woman, about my age with red hair following me. I picked up the pace, but suddenly pinned against the brick of the alley wall. I struggled against the woman, but she was a lot stronger than she looked. "Let go of me you bitch!" I yelled at her.
"Courtney Walker?" She asked.
"How do you know my name? Who are you?" I asked, panic setting in.
"I'm so sorry."
"Sorry about what?"
"This," she replied and touched two fingers to my forehead. There was a flash of light and suddenly I was in the backseat of a car. I squeaked, which made the two people in the front seat jump and turn to look at me. "What the hell?" I asked, staring at the two. The one riding shotgun looked confused. I noticed he was a guy around my age, with longish brown hair. The other one had really short dirty blonde hair.
"Who are you?" The guy driving asked, looking at me in the rear view mirror.
"Who am I?" I asked, anger starting to creep in. "You're the ones who kidnapped me, you and that chick in the alley!" I exclaimed and they looked at me weird.
"We didn't kidnap you," shotgun guy said, looking concerned.
"Then how did I get here?"
"You said a chick," short hair suddenly stated, ignoring my question. "What did she look like?"
"Red hair, green eyes, hell of a lot stronger than she looks," I explained. They looked at each other for a minute. "Can you please just take me home?" I almost begged.
"Not at the moment," the boy on the right said apologetically. "I'm Sam Winchester, and this is my brother Dean," I sighed and leaned back in the seat.
"Courtney Walker," I replied.
"Okay, Courtney, we're going to take you to a friend of ours named Bobby Singer for a bit before we take you home," Dean assured me.
"Fine, but if you two try anything, I'm calling the cops," I promised. I then noticed I was still holding my bags from shopping. At least I had some clothes. I sighed again, not really paying attention to Sam and Dean's conversation in front of me. We pulled into some crap gas station in the middle of nowhere to fill up, in which I got out of the car to stretch and get food. They outnumbered me, and were definitely stronger than me as well, I thought. No point trying to get away. Sam went with me into the store. "What?" I asked, as he was standing a little too close for my liking.
"What?" he replied, looking down at me.
"Can you back off a bit? You're in my personal space," I muttered. He looked sheepish as he stepped back.
"So where are you from?" he asked. "So we actually know where to take you," I chuckled at his comment.
"Sioux Falls, South Dakota," I replied.
"That's where our friend is, maybe we can just take you straight back home," Sam shrugged, and I smiled up at him.
"Thanks Sam," I replied. I grabbed a coke and a couple snacks before Sam and I went back to the car. I stopped in my tracks, as it was my first real look at the vehicle. "Is that a '67 Chevy Impala?" I asked. Sam nodded, looking at me oddly. "Oh, no way!" I exclaimed. Dean poked his head out the window.
"Come on, I want to make it to Bobby's before dark!" he called and we piled back in again.
"Dean, Courtney lives in Sioux Falls, let's just get her home," Sam muttered. Dean looked back at me before shrugging.
"Fine with me," he said before turning the key, the throaty engine vibrating my bones. I grinned, more at ease now that they were taking me home.
After about 4 more hours in the car, where I learned more about the two boys in the front seats. For example, Dean loves classic rock, and also loves singing at the top of his lungs. Sam cracks sarcastic jokes at Dean's expense as well. Dean has a weird love for burgers, while Sam enjoys salad. I also learned that, contrary to what I thought at first, Dean was the older brother, and Sam was a year older than myself. When we pulled into Sioux Falls, we passed my old home. I looked out the window and froze, tears rising to my eyes. Noticing my state, Dean pulled over so he and Sam could look at me.
"Courtney, are you alright?" Sam asked. I silently shook my head. "What's wrong?"
"That's the house where I grew up," I whispered, pointing to it.
"Yeah, so?" Dean asked. Sam glared at him for a moment before turning back to me.
"The couple standing there are my parents" I added, tearing my eyes away from the woman, to the boys.
"Why is it such a big deal that your folks are standing in front of your house?" Dean asked, still confused.
"It's a big deal," I mumbled, a tear slipping out of my eye. "Because my parents were murdered right in front of me when I was 15."
