He reached awkwardly for her hand and fumbled with her fingers, his cheeks glowing red. But she smiled, covered under her sheet of hair. She basked in the awkward moments, in the awkwardness of the pair because perfect wasn't ever meant for them and she relished how sweet imperfection felt.
