"You three! Follow me!" Professor McGonagall called. I stood there in shock. Draco and Harry went next to me and I heard one of them said 'It's alright.'. I gazed at Hermione and she gave me an 'I told you so' look. I catched the gaze of Zabini, Crabbe and Goyle's triumphant faces. We walked numbly as we strode over the castle. We are going to be expelled! No, this can't happen! Professor McGonagall can't even look us in the eye! What will happen to me? To us? What if Mad-Eye disown me?

We stopped outside a classroom. Professor McGonagall opened the door and poked her head inside. "Excuse me, Professor Flitwick, could I borrow Wood for a moment?" Professor McGonagall sincerely asked. 'Wood?' I thought. 'Is she going to use it on us?' Suddenly, a burly, fifth-year boy came out. It turns out that this Wood was a person. "The four of you, follow me." said Professor McGonagall, and we marched on up the corridor. This Wood boy was looking at me with curiosity.

"In here," Professor McGonagall pointed us into an empty classroom except for the fact that Peeves was here. He was busy writing rude words on the blackboard. "Out, Peeves!" Professor McGonagall barked. Peeves threw the chalk into a bin, which clanged loudly, and he swooped out cursing. Professor McGonagall slammed the door behind him and turned to face us. "Potters and Malfoy, this is Oliver Wood. Wood - I've found you a Seeker and two new chasers." McGonagall said excitedly. Wood became delighted by the news. "Are you serious, Professor?" "Absolutely," said Professor McGonagall. "This kids are natural. I've never seen anything like it. Was that your first time on a broomstick, Potters?" Harry nodded silently while I shook my head no. "How bout you Malfoy?" Draco shook his head no, too. "You know, Wood, Ms. Potter can be a good seeker. She caught that thing in her hand after a fifty foot dive," Professor McGonagall told Wood. "Didn't even scratch herself. Charlie Weasley couldn't have done it," Wood was now looking as though all his dreams had come true at once. "Ever seen a game of Quidditch, firsties?" he asked excitedly. Draco and I nodded while Harry shook his head. "Wood's captain of the Gryffindor team," Professor McGonagall explained. "She's just the build for a Seeker, too," said Wood, now walking around me. "Light - speedy - we'll have to get her a decent broom, Professor - a Nimbus Two Thousand or a Cleansweep Seven, I'd say." "I shall speak to Professor Dumbledore and see if we can't bend the first-year rule. Heaven knows, we need a better team than last year. Flattened in that last match by Slytherin, I couldn't look Severus Snape in the face for weeks. . . ." Professor McGonagall peered sternly over her glasses at me. "As for you two, you have to get new brooms too." Wood said as he examined Draco and Harry. "I can ask my father for it. Maybe new brooms for the team?" Draco said and Wood shook his head. "You'll make your father mad, Malfoy." Wood said. "No I won't." Draco reassured. "I want to hear you're all training hard, or I may change my mind about punishing you." Then she suddenly smiled as she gazed at me and Harry. "Your father would have been proud," she said. "He was an excellent Quidditch player himself."

It was already dinnertime and all of us (Me, Harry, Draco, Hermione, Parvati and Ron) were sitting at the Gryffindor table. "Seeker and Chasers?" Ron said. "But first years never - you must be the youngest House player in about -" "- a century," Harry said as he shove a piece of pie unto his mouth. "Wood told us," Ron was so amazed, so impressed, he just sat and gaped at Me, Harry and Draco. "We will start training next week," I told Ron. "Only don't tell anyone, Wood wants to keep it a secret."

Fred and George Weasley now came into the hall, spotted Harry, and hurried over. "Well done," said George in a low voice. "Wood told us. We're on the team too - Beaters." "I tell you, we're going to win that Quidditch Cup for sure this year," said Fred. "We haven't won since Charlie left, but this year's team is going to be brilliant. You three must be good, Wood was almost skipping when he told us." "Anyway, we've got to go, Lee Jordan reckons he's found a new secret passageway out of the school." "Bet it's that one behind the statue of Gregory the Smarmy that we found in our first week. See you!" and in a second, the twins were lost. Just then, someone far less welcome turned up: Zabini flanked by Crabbe and Goyle. "Having a last meal, Potter? When are you getting the train back to the Muggles?" Zabini teased Harry. "You're a lot braver now that you're back on the ground and you've got your little friends with you," said Harry coolly. Zabini scowled at him and turned to face at Draco. "How about you, Malfoy? Being a Gryffindor instead of Slytherin then getting expelled.Maybe you'll get disowned..." he told Draco. Drake had the urge to punch this little war freak so I stood up. "Will you just leave, nigga. Leave my brother and friends alone. Mind your little freaking bussiness, not ours. You little sh**." I madly told him. Zabini looked furious, Crabbe and Goyle scowled at me, while Harry, Draco, Ron, Hermione and Parvati looked shocked. Then that's when Professor McGonagall came. "What the hell is wrong with here?" she asked. "Zabini's disturbing us, professor. He keeps on teasing Harry and Draco." Hermione said. Zabini scowled at Hermione. "Three points will be taken from the Slytherin house. Now you three go back!" McGonagall roared and the three of them went back to the Slytherin table.
