It was a cool autumn night when the matron opened the doors to find a crying baby at the foot steps of her orphanage. The earsplitting sounds of the wailing child broke the silence in the small town of Harrison.

It was a cool autumn night when a husband had to keep his wife from taking back their only child. They had no choice but to relinquish their only daughter into the hands of a stranger.

It was a cool autumn night when two royals, under the light of a street lamp, were forced into hiding. They were no longer safe.

It was a cool autumn night when the sad couple understood the risk they'd put their lives into by going to that doorstep. They could feel a certain presence lurking nearby, waiting to strike.

It was a cool autumn night when no one remained in the gaze of the street lamp, no one except the matron and her new orphan.

It was that cool autumn night when the fate of an entire civilization was hung in the balance of one little girl. But not a soul knew it.
