"Cierra, Shantel and Max, you are now in A-Troupe!" Miss. Kate exclaimed, throwing her arms high in the air. I guess she thought that we would all be excited but I'm reality, we're not.

"They're not going to make the team any better, that's for sure." Stephanie whispers, rolling her eyes. I nod in agreement. They weren't that bad back when I was in Elite but I guess that they're not as good as The Next Step.

"Miss. Kate this is so unfair! I want the old A-Troupe back, especially James." Riley whines and runs out of the room. Phoebe gives Cierra, Shantel and Max a sympathetic look and goes after her.

Miss. Kate sighs and turns to the three new members of A-Troupe. "Don't mind Riley, she's just very upset. You guys will soon fit in, I'm sure of it. Now, I'm going to leave you guys for a couple of hours to talk to each other. Please don't fight each other. I'm trusting you A-Troupe." She then walks away, leaving us all standing there, completely silent.

"Um guys?" Giselle asks, stepping forward.

"Leave it Giselle." Eldon sighs and shakes his head. "It's not worth talking to them."

That was a bit harsh, I did feel a tiny bit sorry for them. I walk up to them, ignoring the shouts from my teammates.

"Hey." I smile.

They nod politely, except for Max. He's always been a mystery to me. He's never spoken to anyone before. In fact, I'm not exactly sure he has a voice.

"Amanda?" Cierra whispers. "Why do they hate us?"

My heart melts, they don't deserve it. "They don't hate you, they just...don't like you very much. But it's okay, they'll soon grow to like you." I say reassuringly.

As soon as I said that, Max stormed off, not saying anything as usual.

"What's wrong with him?" Shantel scoffs as she raises her eyebrows. I glare at her and run off to find Max.

I have always found Max intriguing, but I don't know what it is about him that makes me interested. He's always been one to never talk, but when he dances...wow, that's another thing. I guess you could say I have a little crush on him, but it's nothing.

In the end, I find Max sitting by himself in Studio B. Much to my surprise, he's not dancing, which is something that everyone does when they are upset or feeling down.

"Max?" I ask as I sit down behind him. His head is buried in his hands, and he's sitting down cross-legged.

He looks up, his eyes only showing. "Nothing." He croaks and shifts away from me.

"Come on, you can tell me. I know it's definitely not nothing." I say as I move closer to him. I know how annoying I am right now but it's the only way I can get it out of him.

He breaths in. "It's just that I feel like I don't belong here and everyone dislikes us and I don't want that because I came here to dance and I love dancing." He says in one go and by the end he's out of breath.

I laugh, nodding. "They don't dislike you, in fact they like you very much. As I said, it will take some time for them to get used to you."

He shrugs and nods, smiling a little. "I guess you're right. Thanks Amanda."

"You're welcome. Now, let's go. Miss. Kate is probably back and looking for us." I say, grabbing his hand and pulling him up.

"Yeah. Okay." He replies and gets up with no problem at all.

We walk back to Studio A, still holding hands. I look down discreetly, a grin creeping on to my lips. I try to hide it but it can't be helped, I just like him so much.
