I wake up in a dark area, with nothing in sight. My vision is clouded by black and no signs of life are given. I'd call out, but my mouth never moved. I was frozen, unable to take control of my body's actions. I was trapped inside my own mind and forced to watch. I was a stranger to my body.

My body suddenly began to move on its own will. It walked forward with seemingly no aim at all. No matter how far or how long it walked, there was only darkness. In this world, there was no concept of time, distance, or space. Everything was darkness and empty. Endless.

My body looked down and there was no body to speak of. Suddenly a glowing particle came to sight. It grew. As it moved feet appeared, then legs, a stomach, breasts, arms, and I could feel the rest forming. I finally had control of my actions. I was but an onlooker until now.

I called out finally. My voice didn't echo, my voice didn't exist. No matter how hard I tried, there was nothing. I shut my mouth and realized there was no point. I just continued to move around, hoped something would guide me.

Where was I? Who was I? Would I get out?

There was a bright light in front of me. White, seemingly a door. At first it appeared I was moving towards it, but I was frozen still. The door was coming closer, growing. As soon as it reached my area, it enveloped me, and I could feel my throat unclogging, my voice came to be, my line of sight was clearer now.

I coughed and breathed quite heavily, my brown locks of hair falling forward and touching the ground. I noticed, there was floor. Pink and white tiles of ceramic and stone in one. As I stood up, I looked around. Massive piles of random wild objects surrounded me. Like my own world.

There were pink trees and green grass. Huge clocks and massive pocket watches. Big playing cards and humongous beach balls. All sorts of toys and games.

But the world seemed menacing. Everything seemed to be a weapon. Every toy car and dolly was assumed to be evil. Nothing was kind. As far as I ran I could not find myself escaping from the labyrinth of a world I have entered.

I fell on my weak knees and looked down at the skirt of my dress. I tried to focus my vision on the classic white frills and baby blue color littered with golden buttons filled with luster. My attention was averted to the cats carved into the buttons. The cats bore wild smiles with sharp teeth.

"This is what you created. Isn't it fantastic? Isn't it time you realized what you can do? Tick, tock. Better take control of your power before your dearest and closest turn their backs and control you."

I turned to the voice that whispered in my ear, but no one was behind me, or next to me, or anywhere.

I must be crazy.

My head began to spin and I saw words and knowledge pass in front of my like there was a screen. Among them, one word was bigger, more prominent.

ALICE.

I sat up quickly, recognizing my name. Looking around I was still in my room. Everything was in place. My window let sunlight spill inside and I looked at the digital clock's bright red numbers.

6:57

I hummed slightly and sighed.

"I had... that dream again."
