The night when all went wrong
That night when the morning was darker than the moonless skies
That night when I wished black emptiness to swallow me up
That night when hope turned into a futile little wordThrough a crack you burst open
You came along clueless with a smile
One look and you knew right away
You sat by my side
Silent and patient
Not urging me to speak
No false assurances of happy endsJust a nonjudgmental ear
And a laugh
'You are screwed'
You stated pulling me in your arms
'Thanks for being so lame'
I sobbed on holding your handMaybe not always a light shines through
To rescue the shreds of failures scattered in the dark
You've gotta pick yourself back up and find a way out
A voice can cheer you through
Listen to you throwing daggers in the void
That's all it can do
But that's all you have
to know there's a way out
You've just gotta let it in
And not shut outThe night without the tiny crack
I'd still be there
Dying in the dark
That night without my friend
I'd have long given up
But her acceptance was important
Fallen i might have been
Hopeless noone ever was
I just needed someone to say
'Yes you're screwed'
So just screw the world
And lead on troublesome warrior
Now you know your place in world
So you can well be shameless
And burn down the constraining blindsAnd thus walked out a badass
Who knew the world and it's ways
People had to look up
Even to judge that girl
Who had well learnt when not to care
Smirking in a corner
Sipping on your Dink
Thank you my friend
