LIAM'S POV
When your plane has not yet taken off, the only thing you can do is sit and look at people boarding the plane. That's what I was doing, looking at the different people boarding the plane while sitting in my seat and listening to my favorite band. I saw an old couple carrying some bags with them searching for their seats, a guy struggling with his baggage while shouting at his kid not to run away, the air hostesses helping people with their baggage and finding them their seats.
Suddenly, among all the hustle and bustle, one particular face caught my eyes. It was a girl, who looked so familiar. The same ocean blue eyes, blonde hair, only this time it was cascading down her shoulder. She was walking down aisles of the plane, struggling with her brown bag which seemed too heavy for her to carry.
Just then, a terrifying thought struck my mind.
"No! It can't be her! No no no no no!! It just cannot be her! She left me long ago. Did she come back to me? But why would she? She was the one to leave. But she came back."
Just then another thought crashed upon me. The dreams. They cannot be true. No, dreams don't come true. Right?
I saw her walking towards my seat. She came and sat down in the empty seat beside me. I looked at her with awe. My mind was reeling with questions. I needed answers but no question came out of my mouth. It was like I couldn't speak. She looked at me with sympathetic eyes. I couldn't take my eyes off her. I was pulled out of my daze when she spoke up.
"Hi baby!" She said.
"Why did you come back?" I finally asked. My voice didn't hold any emotion. She looked at me with sad eyes. "I am sorry for leaving you baby! I didn't mean to leave you. I didn't mean for you to go through so much pain because of me. I am so sorry. Please forgive me!" She asked me, her voice breaking in the end. Could I forgive her so easily?
Suddenly I found her leaning in to kiss me. I couldn't resist it. Despite going through all the pain for so many years, I wanted to feel her soft lips against mine. I couldn't control myself. I closed my eyes and started leaning in to kiss her.
"EXCUUUUSE ME MISTER! Can you be kind enough to help me with my bag?"
I heard someone shout at me. It startled me. She was gone.
Wait! I was imagining things. Again. It wasn't her. This was someone else. I take out my earphones and nod towards her. I looked at her. She had the same pair of ocean blue eyes. I stood up and helped her to keep her bag and then sat down again. She sat down in the seat beside me. I felt her eyes on me. I didn't say anything. We sat there in silence waiting for the plane take off.
Suddenly, the girl speaks up, "Hi!"
I looked at her closely. I looked at her eyes, her face, her blonde hair, and her rosy cheeks. I realized that even if she wasn't her, she wasn't any less gorgeous than her.
