I watched as the moon shun with grace upon the restless city. Her light mixing in with the sins and mystery that lurked in each of the city's dark corners. I must admit, I don't know how I got here but then again, that was life: An endless question. I studied the crowds of party goers and drunkards, including some unfortunate tourists that made a wrong turn. It was a shame seeing how ignorant this current generation was; The dangers that lived right next door with a smile on their face. Then again ignorance is bliss and it was nice to blend in without worrying about pitch forks and torches.

Gabriel sheepishly walked over beside me joining me in my observation, a smirk on his face. My brother was always such a happy person. He seemed to be the one that found a ray of sunlight during a dark and violent storm. Though I must admit I envied him at times.

"Come on Raphael! Gabriel said rolling his eyes "We've been traveling for days! Besides I don't believe the hunters will find us up here. If anything happens well leave!" and a big brat. But I guess that's what happens when you die at such a young age; poor lad was just seventeen years old in the mist of a brewing revolution.

I turned to stare at him annoyed and for some odd reason amused

The wind blew harshly ,his smile now in a childish frown. Gabriel's ocean blue eyes was filled with exhaustion and his strikingly short blonde hair only played up his child like features.

"Please let just stay here and rest for a while" he begged

I sighed and turned to look at Michael. He was silent as usual, but something about his silence bothered me. Michael always had communication problems but nothing like this, whatever it is he needs to get over it.

"You know I don't like taking risk" I said turning back to Gabriel " It's best if we keep moving"

Gabriel just looked at me even more annoyed. "Seriously brother? We might be immortal but we still need to rest"

My brother was right, but I couldn't let my guard down. We had too many encounters that haven't deemed in our favour.

Gabriel approached closer to me this time placing his hands on my shoulders. " Besides" he said looking down " Whatever happened back there won't happen again"

my anger rose remembering the current "theatre production" Michael staged while protecting a young girl. It was enough to get the entire town of New haven on us, having no choice but to leave the lives we built behind. I spun around viciously looking at Michael who was standing on the ledge staring off into space.

"What do you think?!" I snapped. My voice echoed with the rest of throughout the cold night sky.

He didn't even care to look at me, he was too busy lost in whatever his mind played before him.

"Do as you please" Michael hissed as he continued to stare down at the crowds.

I l snarled, my fangs bare. He is blessed to be my brother. Just before I could say anything else Gabriel reassured me. He casually walked over to the east side of the building where Michael was standing. I could see Gabriel's caution as he walked up stopping only behind him.

"What's wrong brother?' Gabriel asked concerned. " You've been quiet for days and frankly, it's worrying us"

Michael didn't say a thing, not a whisper. We tried reading his thoughts but it was of no use. He had blocked us out.

Gabriel looked at him worried and sighed. "Look if it's about.." Suddenly Michael whirled around violently, having both Gabriel and I to jump back and become defensive. Michael's eyes was filled with a firey rage that came along with a menacing snarl. "Don't.you.dare..." he warned. I immediately felt a sudden urge of disrespect. I growled in response to his prude behavior. Who the hell did he think he is? How dare he snap at us that way. If he didn't know his place I would gladly remind him of it. But while Michael and I were having a stand off, Gabriel remained calm and collective. He stood up straight and stared straight at him, his face serious.
