I couldn't help but be filled with disgust toward the loud mouth sitting on the other side of the bar. I swear were all men like this?...so stupid. I sighed to myself looking around the dimly lit club. Everyone seemed so chatty lately especially with the music blaring, but I guess it wasn't unusual and it was Friday. A tradition I have yet to understand.
The Bartender that was keeping an eye on me from earlier on finally mustered up the courage walk up to me...Great. Chit Chat.
"Can I get you something?" the bartender asked loudly with a kind smile.
sigh. Why now and why me? There was a beautiful long haired blonde with a tiny waist line. Go bother her!
I smiled in return "A scotch on the rocks". I hollered back After all he was being a gentleman.
His green eyes was wide with astonishment "Wow" he said amazed "You don't seem like the type to have that".
"Well, I'm not your typical woman" I responded with a nervous laugh.
He laughed out loud in response, "I can see that and hey you don't need to be shy!" The bartender reassured. "I don't bite!" Even through the music and chaos of the nightclub, he had a positive and infectious energy that I liked. The laser lights began to change erraticly as the song changed.
"Thanks a lot!" I smiled wider
"No problem! I'm TK by the way" He said extending his hand. I shook it "I'm Christina "
"What a beautiful name, Say Christina, let me get your drink before you die of thirst"
"Thanks TK" I responded with a smirk
and with a wink he went off to the other section of the bar.
"We are the lucky ones and whatever comes" The song blared through the massive speakers. I must admit it was very catchy.
"and when your world is crumbling down I'll make it better!"
"We are the lucky ones and whatever comes, We are the lucky ones"
I guess I was a lucky one tonight.
Especially since someone actually talked to me. It can get like that if you looked like me. I'm not saying that im ugly in fact I'm very good looking:
I'm 5'7, 120 pounds, athletic, with long dark brown hair and golden brown eyes. My skin flawless and lightly tanned that is all completed with a great set of legs, plump bottom and chest.
I know, I sound cocky but in all honesty i'm far from it although I am greatful. Though while I thank God for my good looks and charm, many people immediately label me as you guessed it: a bitch.
It used to bother me because no one even talked to me before assuming but as the years rolled on by and my age it was something that I was used to.
My thoughts were interrupted with a small tap on my shoulder. TK was back with my drink.
"Oh" I said startled "Sorry, it's been a long day" as I blushed
He laughed his infectious laugh again making me feel at ease. "That's ok" He reassured "It's been a long week, especially since the holidays coming up"
"say you're right" I said taking a sip
(phew that's strong) Though I wasn't looking forward to it.
The song began to change to a faster tempo and the dancers were soon coming over to beg for something to rehydrate themselves. One woman in a shorter than life silver sequenced skirt (or rather a trimmed cloth) and matching tube top, bumped into me and shot me dirty look while she asked for a skinny mojito.
