"You guys ready?!" Anthony called out, catching the attention of the 4 other siblings in the house. "Not yet!" I called, putting the last of my hair into a ribboned ponytail.
I trotted downstairs to see Anthony huffing impatiently at the front door. "Only you? What takes the others so long? We are only going out to eat...." He sighed. I patted his back. "Don't worry, I think they'll be done soon....I think..." I soon became bored and began examining Anthony's outfit. He wore a Red peacoat with black skinny jeans underneath, with black flats as well. I soon heard multiple thuds from the stairs, so I peeled my eyes away from my older brother to see who it was.
"BET I CAN BEAT YOU THERE FIRST!" "There's really no need to." Said two masculine voices. "YEA-" Before the screaming one could say anything, they tumbled down the stairs with a splat. "Hey Jacob." I say, trying to hold my laugh. "I'm not paying for your medical bills for you being childish!" Scolded Anthony; Jacob slowly got up. He suddenly striked a heroic pose. "That was nothing!" He laughed. The other voice soon followed him. "You pushed him down the stairs, didn't you?" Said I. "No, he fell like the idiot he is." Vincent replied with a monotonous tone.
"Ok, I'm ready!" Said a feminine voice. It must be Sarah. As she walked down the stairs, she tripped aswell. Except, it didn't sound as painful as Jacob's fall. Anthony sighed. "We're all here. Let's go eat."
"I call shotgun!" Screamed Jacob, scrambling to open the car door. "Not fair! I wanted to sit in the front this time!" I say, pouting. "Now now, little children don't get to sit in the front. " Jacob says, with an awfully cruel smirk. "I'll let you sit by the window." Sarah says, and it seems like she's secretly laughing at me. 'Why me?' "Thanks Sarah."
I stare out the window as the vehicle swiftly moves along the road. I rest my head on the palm of my hand and try to make stories of the cloud formations. It's just to keep myself occupied. I look over to Sarah and Vincent, to see Sarah sleeping on Vincent's shoulder, while Vincent's listening to music in his earbuds. Jacobs sleeping aswell. I look back at the sky.
'There's a cat.... A rabbit....and a gun? How do I make a story out of that?'
'Hmn...There was once a cat who had an enemy rabbit. But the rabbit didn't nothing wrong. So everyone thought. The cat saw the rabbit kill the doe that lived next to the cat. The cat was off to fetch some food, when he saw the doe's corpse silently dragged off by the rabbit. Ever since then, the cat avoided the rabbit at all cost. The happy and sweet demeanor that the rabbit put on was merely a façade of the cold crime the rabbit had pulled. The rabbit had notice the change in the cats personality, and decided to confront the cat about it. "Hey cat, I noticed that you've been treating me differently....Did I do something wrong? Or was it the death of the Doe? I know, we all miss her-" "Quit that." The cat snapped, fur standing on end. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize she meant so much to you." The cat didn't fall for this one bit. "I saw you kill the Doe. Don't play dumb." The cat unsheathed its claws, and slowly made its way toward the rabbit. "Woah woah, what do you mean? I wouldn't-" The cat was now towering over the rabbit. "Heh." Said the rabbit, and something clicked. The cat suddenly felt something cold touch it's skin. "You and the doe are the same. You guys saw right through me.....I guess it's time for you to join her. The last thing the cat saw was empty, empty voids for eyes on the rabbit.'
'I think that was a good story!' Feel in proud of myself, I look to the road once again. "We're stuck in traffic?" "No, the road is TOTALLY ours," Anthony replies. "But yeah, we are in traffic. It seems there was a car leaking gasoline somewhere...." 'Sounds scary.' I thought, as we slowly moved along. For what seemed like hours, we were freed. "Finally!" I quietly cheered, but the sound of a horrid screech fills my ears. "Wha-" as I feel a crushing weight shoot to my side, and blacked out.
~[Third Person P.O.V.]
Anthony coughs as he slowly opens his eyes. It's hazy. He suddenly feels a sharp pain stretch out throughout his whole body, and arches his back. "SHIT!" He cries, as there are many pieces of glass running down his arm, making a bleeding mess. His legs are crushed. "G-guys....?" With all the strength he had, he turned around to see Jacob slowly waking up aswell. There's a red crack in the windshield, and Jacob is bleeding from his forhead. He must of collided with the windshield. "Jacob....?" "Anthony....? My forehead....it kinda hurts..." Anthony achingly reached up and rubbed his head. "Everything will be alright....o-okay?" Anthony chokes out. Jacob's eyes are now fully open, and nods. Anthony tries to turn around further, but what he see is horrifying.
Sarah was awake the whole time, but was silently sobbing at the sight aswell. There lay Makenzie impaled with a variety of metal and glass, her head hanging and bleeding. Her ribbon was torn and stained with red. Her eyes were rolled into her head, showing the pure white sclera. "No.... Not Mackenzie...." Anthony started to gasp for air. "Nononono..... I can't lose you.... Mack.......? Please........" His body was racked with sobs. Jacob started to cry as well. "Guys....what ha-" said Vincent, before he saw Sarah. "Sarah....is that..." Sarah started to bawl and buried her head into Vincent's jacket.
"Are you guys okay?! We are going to save you guys, so please sit tight!" Said the ambulance. They only heard the crying and croaking of broken people. Thanks for reading! It's slightly longer, and I finished this around 5 am last night so if there's any errors I missed, please point them out to me!
