Katie was so close to finishing her cranes. Ten more left and then she would be able to make her wish. She knew the chance of her wish coming true and the boys just appearing out of thin air was slim.

The family had been at the hospital all day due to the needles that had to be done earlier in the day. Whatever time they arrived they usually stayed until dinner before heading off to do their own thing. Right now everyone was doing the usual. Sam was on his phone, most likely texting some girl. He had never kept a girl for more than 3 weeks. Katie didn’t mind, they gave her gifts. What 9 year old didn’t enjoy that perk?

Gemma was on her phone too. That was a first. She was never on her phone while she was at the hospital, as she wanted to spend as much time with her sister as possible. Their mum was reading a magazine and dad was reading the paper.

Liam and Gemma were texting. She knew that Katie would finish her cranes today so she made sure that the boys would be here at the hospital in the cafeteria waiting for my cue. Liam seemed like a nice guy. He said that he was the one who got the call about my sister and that he wanted to help.

“Yes, I finished my last crane,’ Katie exclaimed as she made the last fold. Everyone looked up to see her finish it. Gemma was proud of her little sister. She didn’t have much time left but never gave up.

Heyy, Liam. Come in the room anytime. She finished her cranes. Room 302 on the third floor – Gemma

Hey, thanks. We should be up there in a few minutes – Liam

Now Gemma was given the task of having to keep Katie busy for a few minutes. “How about we have a game of cheat?” She asked everyone in the room. Their Mum and Dad seemed to think it was a good idea as they moved their chairs over closer towards the girls while Sam was on his phone texting someone. Everyone in the family was in agreeance that he needed to get off his phone sometimes.

“Sam, you are playing too,” Dad told him sternly making Sam move his chair towards Katie’s bed.

“Okay. I will start,” Gemma stated starting with the Ace’s. They kept at a constant pace without anyone going out yet. They all knew good tactics and applied them on each other. When Gemma thought the game wasn’t going to end, a knock on the door did the job for her.

She got off her chair and opened the door just so her head could fit through, hoping it was the five boys here and not some random nurse.

“Oh good it is you. Katie will be thrilled. Hang on a sec,” She pulled her head back into the room. “I will be just a moment,” Gemma told everyone as she stepped out of the room and into the hallway.

“I’m so happy that you could make it. To be honest I didn’t know if this would even happy since you know, you are all big super stars. I’m Gemma,” she said as I stuck out her hand for a hand shake. Louis just looked at her as if she had just grown another head.

“We don’t do handshakes Gemma.” Louis told her in a monotone voice. Gemma’s face fell and she pulled my hand back. Maybe they were jerks after all.

“We hug,” and with that Louis walked over to her and pulled her into a bear hug. She was a bit shocked about the whole thing but Gemma managed to hug back. Next thing she knew all the boys decided to hug as well. She took a guess that they were the friendly bunch that she thought they were.

“I thought you guys were stuck up jerks before you pulled me into a hug, but I know the true sides of you now.” She said as we unraveled from the hug. “We should probably get inside otherwise my family will be wondering what the hell is going on out here.”

AN: Sorry it's still short. I did try my best to lengthen it.
