The eyes of Zero and Suzaku

The moment

"you know what to do.... Suzaku....."

"y-yeah.."

"Good.. then I'm leaving it to you then.."

"Lelouch. I-..... uh.. n-nevermind.."

"this may be the only time for you to be able to tell me you know?"

"yeah.. it.... doesn't matter- get yourself prepared.."

"alright.."

The parade had finally started, everyone was in fear, and everything was just a game to Lelouch.. his plan has finally been set to play.. and I'm now the main character... His smile can sometimes drive me to tears, even when he told me what to do..  I didn't plan on saying yes but.. I had to, I wanted to make my friend.. no... my BEST friend happy... He wanted this to have a happy ending apparently, and that this would fix everyone's problems.. but.. is that true?

The sun shines bright, as he imprisoned the apparent "sacrifices" and Nunnally was chained.. they have no idea what Lelouch is planning.. And I can't believe what I'm doing. 

He planned this all along, he waved to his death, as the stage was finally set.. It was finally my time to shine.. I hesitated, but got up- everyone stared up and pointed towards me. They were all shouting for my name.. his name...

Zero.

That's right.. I'm Zero.. and no matter what, I wont let this fail.

As the people tried to stop me, I ran past them as fast as possible and jumped over, I ran to Lelouch.

People screamed, I heard people cheering me to do it.. but I felt pain.. some were upset about this.

Just as I was.

I plunged the spear through my best friends chest, tearing up as blood seeped through his white gown, his smile, I couldn't help but cry.. but nobody saw or heard my crying.. no.. not behind this mask.. People ran down, cheering at his death, as people took the "sacrifices from the pegs that they were tied to.. but.. the reason why Nunnally was chained.. not only to fool the people watching this "Dictatorship" of a "parade", but so she wouldn't try to stop me.. 

I pulled out the spear and Lelouch skidded down the slope that he had made of his 'throne carriage' ... was that on purpose?! To LET Nunnally see him.. 

As everyone's voices cheered in the background, all I heard was Nunnally's screaming and crying, seeing as her brother died for her sake.. and that he was a hero. I kept my cool, as I was now Zero.. But, I still trembled, trying not to run to Lelouch, who was letting out his final breaths. I just wanted to hold him lose and tell him those three stupid words that I refused to say.. Why was I so scared? All that time.. of waiting, and knowing one day I'd say it.. It'd all gone to waste..... I'll tell him at the grave. Now, I have to look after Nunnally, and take position as someone else, I am no longer Susaku, I am Zero. 

And this, was the Zero Requiem, he's finally proven what he wished for.... what he said when he was younger.. about creating a safer world for Nunnally.. But.. Now, Nunnally wont be so happy, since the person she was the happiest with had died right in front of her eyes..
