The rabbit hybrid let her ears droop over her face, hiding her features. Her hair and ears were a bright color compared to the gray of the city. The ground was now being coated in streams of water that seemed to pour out of the sky in tons.
The black clothing helped her blend in to the dark shadows awaiting behind every corner. She gritted her teeth as she was reminded of her next victim. Her heart raced at the thought of another meal for this month.
The skies darkened further, and the bustle of Japhan was soon consumed as the night began to overtake the small town.
Perfect. The hybrid thought as she smiled wickedly ,revealing her razor sharp teeth. She arrived at the victims house, and her heartbeat began to pound in her ears. The anticipation was killing her.
She walked around to the back of the house, her silhouette was shielded from watching neighbours by a row of bushes surrounding the house. She sat in the soft grass and began to rummage through her rucksack to find the tools she would need to use.
The female licked her lips as she pulled out a screwdriver, her favorite knife, and a mini saw-like object.
The rabbit looked to the window at the back. It wasn't open, even though the temperatures were getting hotter by the day.
She stood on her tip-toes and carefully climbed onto the small ledge beside the glass frame. She bent down and undid all of the screws before carefully placing the big piece of glass back on the ground beside her bag. She climbed inside the house and took a good look at her surroundings.
She breathed heavily in delight. She had mapped this place out from top to bottom, calculating the exact route she needed to move in to make her break in and her escape. She knew which door would squeak at the touch, and which stair would creak as weight was pushed on it. She also had been studying the owner of the house. This particular person lived alone, and was a somewhat heavy sleeper.
The rabbit tiptoed up the stairs that lead straight to the bedroom of the victim. This door creaked only a small amount, if opened to fast. She eased the door open without a sound being made.
She looked down to her knife and almost cackled, but held it in because the victim was too close to do such a thing.
Even though the hybrid was also part ghoul, and could simply bite them and eat them, she preferred the satisfaction of a knife piercing the skin of her prey.
She thanked GORD that she was the only ghoul in town. That left more prey for her. She wasn't a binge eater, but if given the opportunity to, she would eat her meal without problem.
She was now standing beside the bed. The covers were a light green and the walls were painted a dark red. Interesting choice.
"Sweet dreams~," she cooed. The victim woke up to this, but before a sound could escape from their lips the knife met her skull. Her chest soon stopped slowly rising and falling with breaths, and the pulse quickly left her body.
The ghoul took only a few bites from the body, seeing as she had already eaten for this month. Satisfied, the hybrid took a pastel pink flower from her hair.
She placed it on the remains of the body, the flower was now spotted with blood from the hybrids hands. She went out the house and quickly put the window back in place.
Skipping back to her home she smiled happily.
This was only the beginning.
