You know, I'm not sure if ignoring something will just make it disappear or not. I've been staring at my humanities assignment for around 20 minutes and it does not seem to move nor disappear at all. I had an article to read for tomorrow about some politic thing that happened around two weeks ago. Don't ask me why, but after I read the first word I decided that i didn't like it at all. But being the good student I am, I decided to torture myself for a while and read it, just in case.
Half way through, I realized that I didn't understand one word that I read so far, but I just kept going hopefully I'll get the main idea out of it soon. I was so determined to finish it, that is until my phone vibrated right beside me "distracting" me from my reading.
I looked down and found a text from an unknown number.
Hey Ella ! Its Niall if you didn't know haha !
After seeing his little message, I smiled widely at his goofiness.
I was wondering about this weird stranger texting me!
I saved his number under Niall with the little yellow chick emoji, don't ask why, it's just cute. We kept on texting for a while, exchanging schedules and talking about random stuff that happened to us during the day.
We agreed on meeting tomorrow during our break so he could help me with the assignment that I still do not understand at all.
You know, I'm still not sure why Niall wants to do this, let alone talk to me at all. I was used to having barely anyone talk to me, let alone a guy. So all of this is a little bit weird for me and I have no idea how to react nor how to respond. I just decided to go with it and see where it would take.
Lay pestered me for so long yesterday about the Niall subject. I tried ignoring it and changing the subject for so long but it didn't work out for her at all. I just told her general stuff, like when he helped me with the equipment and all that. For now, I really have to finish my humanities assignment and try and sleep to try and survive tomorrow.
----------
You know, waking up to my phone vibrating on my side table isn't my ideal way of waking up. I have no idea who it is, because it definitely is not my alarm clock considering the fact that it is almost 3 am. I quickly checked it to find that I had 3 texts from Niall. Worriedly, I opened them.
The first one reads : "Ella are you awake?"
Then: " I really want to talk to someone"
And finally: "please"
I was really worried, why would he text me in the middle of the night with these kinds of texts?
"I'm here.. what's wrong? Are you ok?" I quickly replied, still terrified of his response.
After waiting for merely a couple of seconds, i receive a reply from him that leaves me somewhat confused.
"Yeah Im alright" he replied
Then why was he texting me this late?
"I'll talk to you tomorrow" was his next text.
Now I was really confused and really unsure of why he texted me in the first place and if he actually is okay. But for now, I just put my phone back on the table and went to bed trying to get as much sleep as I can.
The morning came rather quickly, and sadly I had to leave my bed. I got ready and went to catch the bus to get to school. I passed by the cafeteria and got a mint tea and something small to eat before getting to my class.
Ever since last night's conversation with Niall, I kept on thinking about why he texted me and what did he really want. It was really confusing and worrying to be honest.
I just had to wait a couple more hours to really find out, and I'm quite scared. It might not be a big deal at all, but that's just how I am.----------
