"Come here FrostFang, we have something to show you," Said a grey she-wolf. Beside her was a male brown wolf. "Coming!" Replied a cheerful white she-wolf running to her parents. "Are we going to go see some fish?"
"No honey," laughed her father. "This is something special."
"Come," her mother sounded calm.

The three wolves walked through the forest around them. FrostFang admired the scenery. The tall mountains were right beside the forest. There was a lake in the middle of the forest that FrostFang loved. The young wolf was very playful. She loved climbing the pine trees and annoying the little creatures. They made their way past some rocks and found themselves inside a cave. The cave was filled with beautiful crystals. "Whoa!" FrostFang was shocked. "These are so cool!"
"Well you're going to have one!" Said her father.
Sweet! Thought FrostFang in her head.
Her mother spoke, "One of these crystals will be on a piece of string around your neck. Something you can wear to always remember us."
"I will always remember you two! I love you all so much." Said FrostFang.
"Aw come here you all." Said her father.
The wolves all snuggled and the fathers muzzle rubbed his daughters soft fur. "Let's make that necklace!" FrostFang's mother said.
"Which crystal do you want?" Asked the father.
There was so many colours, shapes, and sizes of crystals. "There is so many to choose from!" Replied FrostFang. Then suddenly one of them caught her eye. It was very beautiful. The crystal had a fluorescent shade of blue, just like the colour of the sea. "This is the one!" Sang FrostFang.
"Honey it's gorgeous!" Replied her mother.
"Let's get to work then!" FrostFang's father said.
"I'm going to wait outside!" FrostFang rang out as she turned around and stood outside.

She sat herself outside and waited. There were some storm clouds rolling in and she could hear the slightest bit of thunder from far away. "Here you go honey," FrostFang's mother walked out of the cave a few moments later with the crystal on a string gripped between her teeth. She rested the necklace on the young wolf's neck. "Thank you so much! I will remember you each time I look at this!" FrostFang Squeaked. Suddenly the wolves heard a crack of thunder, and lightning struck one of the trees around them. "We have to go, now!" The fathers voice rang in fear. The wolves dashed back to their den. There was a flash of white, then a tree fell and smashed FrostFang's mother and father.
Blood started oozing from a slit on her mothers chest. "Mommy! Daddy!" Cried FrostFang. "Go honey! It's too late. Nobody can rescue us! You have to return home!" Demanded the mother. FrostFang heard another thunder. Before The young wolf turned to run, she heard her fathers voice one last time. "The crystal isn't just to remember us." FrostFang was confused. "The crystal will help you." The parents heads both dropped to the ground in front of them, as if going to sleep. FrostFang felt a hole slice right through her heart. Everything she had loved was gone. She raced back to the den in fear, and that night she cried herself to sleep.
