I put my heart on my sleeve,
And let it drop into my hand.
I held it out to you,
And you merely helped me stand.
While standing at your side,
You looked deep inside.
I didn't pull away,
Something convinced me not to hide.
You gave me a deal,
And offered to trade.
Your heart for mine,
And that day a deal was made.
It has stood,
Until this very day.
It refuses to be lost,
Can't be pushed away.
Having your heart,
I knew your fears.
You having mine,
I trust you with my tears.
Letter by letter,
I trusted you with my words.
Every thought to cross my mind,
I made sure you heard.
Now,
I can't imagine life without you.
You're my sun,
Lighting the places of dark and gloom
I love you,
My heart is yours.
My trust in you,
Is brokenness' cure.
