II. Liam One Shot

Jill is a girl who is secretly attracted to Liam, her senior at school. However, she feels that Liam is too good-looking for her.

Instead, Jill and her three friends turn to the help from the book 'Ten Secrets of Love', which is believed to have a magical power to win affection from the boy of choice.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Jill's friend asked.

"Maybe." Jill responded.

"How can you not be sure? That's odd." Caren stated, as she looked at the book; which looks really peculiar to them. Jill was really thinking it would work.

Jill's father works in the States to support his family and promises to Jill and her younger brother that he will send a plane ticket for the UK to whichever one of them earn the first place in school. Jill misses her father and is determined to study hard to raise her grade.

AT SCHOOL

Jill and her friends are denied by the Generation dance club after picking a fight with Katie, a pretty girl at school.

Flashback

"What the actual f****?!"  Katie squirmed as a bowl of spaghetti went flying towards her cotton-lined white blouse. "Who threw this? Gaah!"  She started screaming as spoonfuls of spaghetti went inside her shirt. She squirmed like a little girl.

From the back, you can hear a group of people laughing. It was Jill's friends. It's obvious that they were the ones who did it. But it was a weird instance when Jill was just passing by the cafeteria, and that's where she sees Katie.

"What the heck are you looking at?" Katie asked.

"Nothing, I didn't even look at you." Jill replied carelessly, since she wasn't really looking for a fight.

"I get it. You were the one who laughed didn't you?" 

"Well excuse me, DID you just hear me laugh? Well, did you?" She responded.

"No but I knew it was you." Katie looked at Jill with a disgusted face.

"Stop assuming, b**ch." Jill spat.

Suddenly, the two went out for a girl fight, both of them slapping and pulling each other's hair. They went wild and the crowd doesn't give a damn about it. Instead, they were cheering for them. Bad luck stroke when the school prefects just barged in the cafeteria and saw them, including the dance club moderator, therefore isolating them from their chosen clubs.

End of Flashback

They instead join the English Drama club headed by Teacher Kim, where Jill is chosen to play Cinderella in the school drama, Cinderella, during the school fair. Liam is also helping the Drama club as a stage painter. This gives Jill an advantage, she thought.

When it's time for the school fair, Jill got dressed as perfectly as she could, trying to impress Liam; who's really busy doing his work, painting at the stage of the school theatre. She walked slowly, trying not to tear her dress up to the stage where Liam was working on.

"Hey Liam, you must be tired." Jill spoke with a calm voice as she sat one on of the stools beside Liam. 

"Oh, I didn't see you there. Hello." Liam displayed the most wonderful smile Jill has ever seen. And with that, her heart pounded even harder like it has just been hit by a hurricane.

"I.. I..." She can't even say a word, she was too flattered.

"You look gorgeous." Liam stated unknowingly, as he focused on the green paint he was smothering on the walls of the stage. Little did he know that his statement really affected Jill.

"I.. thank you, I don't know what to say." Jill stuttered.

"Oh, it's fine. I'm used to people like that." Liam said as he turned away from Jill's vision, and went back to his assigned activity.

Jill just noticed that it wasn't really hard to be noticed by her senior, and her senior is just a normal lad that she can talk to comfortably. With this realization, she fell in love deeper to Liam, who is older by her for two years.

So the drama started, and everyone was busy. The audiences were really admiring Jill's awesome acting skills, and her beautiful voice during her singing.

After the drama, Jill becomes popular among the boys at school. Jill also tries to change her appearances by wearing contact lens, braces, and whitening her skin. Her look improves dramatically. She was starting to be loved by everyone. She is also chosen as a majorette of the school parade, while Liam joins the soccer team as a striker. 

During the second year of the story, Liam's childhood friend, Niall, joins the school. He immediately likes Jill and some days later, he confesses his love to Jill. She is shocked and does not answer to avoid the risk of hurting Liam's best friend, Niall. Niall takes her silence as an acceptance. Next morning,Niall asks Jill to go to the football match to see Liam play. Days later, Liam tells Jill that he wishes that he had a girlfriend, much to Jill's shock. They are interrupted by Niall before Jill can say anything back. At the birthday night party of Olivia, one of their friends, Niall and Liam share a story where both liked the same girl and after that experience, they say that they have promised to never to fall in love with the same girl again. During a dance, Niall kisses Jill's cheek, making her uncomfortable. That night, Jill breaks up with him. A heartbroken Niall asks Liam to promise never to pursue Jill because he wouldn't be able to see his best friend with the girl he loves. Liam acknowledges his friendship to Niall by promising to do so.

Five years have passed by since the beginning of her story. Jill secures the first position in her exam, which means she will get to stay with her father in the UK. Jill and her friend finally realizes that the book did not do much help and decides to use the 11th secret: Direct confession. On the closing of the school year,Jill finally confesses to Liam, only to find out that she is too late. Liam is already going out with Katie, his classmate. That night, Liam comes home to find out that he is accepted into a trainee program in a professional soccer team, and has to leave for the camp the following morning. He goes into his room and takes out a scrapbook. That scrapbook contains all of Jill's photos. Liam has always loved Jill but never managed to pluck up enough courage to tell her. Liam leaves his scrapbookin front of Jill's house.

Twelve years later, Jill is a successful fashion model who recently came back from the UK and is asked to appear in a variety show. Liam is now a professional artist. In that reality show, Jill and Liam reunite.
