"I am clueless." I ran my fingers through my hair, exhausted.
"What's wrong Carter?" Charley looked at me with a curious expression on her face.
"Drew is coming over today because my Dad called him & i have to look very nice for him, which i don't see why because he is not my step brother." I rolled my eyes at the thought of Drew.
Drew. An annoying ass old college guy that was suppose to be my step brother but just ended up being a friend or whatever. My Dad was supposed to marry his Mom but things happen and now we just hang, i guess? My Dad still cares about him even if that's not his son, he even refers Drew as my step brother which is annoying and not happening.. ever. So anyways, let me tell you about me. I'm Carter Martella, i'm 17, a junior, i'm rich & i live in California, Beverely Hills. My Dad is a lawyer so it explains why i'm so rich. I don't have a Mom, she divorced my Dad when i was 2 and found someone new in New York. I sometimes visit there, not all the time because she has kids from her marriage now so yeah..which kinda sucks because she doesn't call me or text me to know if i'm fine. So i don't really call her as a Mom, i just call her 'somebody i use to know'. Her daugters hate me for i don't even know, probably jealous because i have more money than they do. My best friend is Charley, she's rich too because her Dad is a surgent doctor & her Mom works for the news. I love her to death, were like sisters, considering we live right next to each other. I can trust her with anything.
"Ugh, hold up. Joey is calling." Charley rolled her eyes, picking up her phone & holding it to her ear.
Joey is Charley's boyfriend, they are always on & off but they're cute together. Joey is one of those guys who play with girl's heart but Charley don't play. She keeps her man on lock which means no hoe or whore can take her man away from her, cause he will come running back to her or she will fight for him. I know, it's kinda petty for a girl to fight over some useless dick but she really loves him and plans to have a big future ahead of them like getting married and having kids which is pretty nice but i'm not going to plan for all that. I don't like the highschool boys in my school, they're like dogs. You have to take care of them, feed them, dress him and everything. It's too much work plus they're filthy and just plain gross, i don't even know how Charley cooperates with her boyfriend. Maybe it's because he's good at sex, yes Charley is not a virgin but i am. I never had a 'real' boyfriend before, like you know the real relationship where you be with them for like a year and so. I had a boyfriend but it never last and they were useless. I had dates before and they didn't turn out right at the end of the date which sucks because most of them were pretty cute. Anyways enough about boys, ugh.
"He wants me to be at his house tonight, so i should get going.." Charley frowned a little, grabbing her purse and iphone.
"But you were supposed to help me pick out my outfit for tonight!" I sighed.
"Sorry babes, i'll make it up, i promise." She hugged me tightly then walked out the house.
Hmm..what was i going to wear? I'm def not wearing no dress, it's too fancy. Maybe some blue light high waisted shorts, a sweet daisy black crop top tank, black toms & some asscesseries. Perfect. Now all i gotta do is my makeup & my hair, which i should straighten. Anyways, Daddy says i have to be poliete to Drew which never happens because i just don't like him, he's...gross.
"Carter!" i heard my Dad yelled through the house, he's home.
I quickly got dressed & walked downstairs with my hair still naturally curly & a fresh no make up face. "Hey Daddy" i hugged my Dad tightly then i pulled away. "I haven't finished getting done." I smiled wide.
"Well hurry because Drew will be here in 10 mins." My Dad put his coat on the hanger.
"Ugh, but my hair and make up takes over an hour!" I yelled, panicking.
"Just don't wear any makeup and leave your hair curly." My Dad sighed, tired.
"Ugh, fine but only this once." I pointed at him then i left to go to the kitchen.
Ding.
"It's Drew, Mr.Martella." Linda, my maid was at the door looking at the peep hole.
"Open the door, please." My Dad, sat down at the dinner table.
I rolled my eyes as Linda let Drew in.
"Hey Nick." Drew shaked my Dad's hand & walked over to me, "hey sis" he smiled about to hug me.
"I am not your sis and-" i put my finger up, means do not touch me. "And don't touch me."
"Yikes" Drew eyes widen then they turned back to normal as he went to go sit down next to me.
I rolled my eyes, then Linda came to bring our plates that was filled with food.
"So Drew have you been thinking about my request about being a lawyer?" My Dad started to pick up his fork & knife.
"Well..uh, actually i've been thinking about writing my own music and being a singer." Drew nervously said, staring at my Dad.
"Why would you do that? when your Dad is a lawyer." My Dad was eating, staring back at Drew.
"You guys are not related whatsoever, so please stop talking like you are." I said, picking up my fork. I was looking down at my plates but i could feels stares at me, especially Drew then i heard my Dad clearing his throat & started coughing, i looked up. "You okay Dad?"
"Yes, Dad you okay?"
"Yes, thank you--" He covered his mouth.
I looked at Drew, cocking my eyebrows downward. "He is not your Dad."
"Doesn't matter." Drew looked at me.
"Yes it does, your mother and my father have never got married so therefor, he isn't your father." I snapped.
The room became silent, Drew was chewing then he swallowed and looked down at his plate. I got up & was about you walk up the stairs.
"Where are you going?" My Dad asked.
"In my bedroom, where i belong." I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms then i finally walked up the stairs to my bedroom. I layed down on my bed, sighing.
Nothing ever works out when he's here.
