"Good morning class. Today we will be learning about the ecosystem and how it...." Jack was in the seventh grade when he found the love of his life. He was overwhelmed when he seem her walk through the door the first time. Her name was Shantel. He tried to sit next to her every day. They soon became best friends in his science class.
"Jack, you're so funny! You always know how to make me laugh."
"Awhhh, no. You are the reason I smile everyday. YOU are the reason that I can make you laugh because you make me happy enough to do so."
"Tehe..... Jack, can I ask you something?"
Jack stared at the bow she always wore on top her head and slowly moved his eyes down to her deep green eyes. "Of course. Always and forever."
"Well..... do you like me? Like... like like me?"
"I thought that you would never notice! Shantel, i have liked you since you stepped foot in the door! You're so beautiful, sweet, cute, and you're so funny! You are literally my best friend."
"I'm so glad you feel that way. I've liked you for a long time too."
Jack stared at his beautiful best friend and looked into her eyes and said in a very soft voice "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Shantel looked at him and smiled and said "Of course silly."
Later that day on the bus ride home, Jack drew a picture of his sweet Shantel. He drew her easy smile, and especially that sweet little bow on her head. Many people told him that he couldn't feel love that young, but Jack was always different from everyone else, in a good way.
When Jack arrived home he immediately tried to call his new girlfriend. When she didn't pick up he got really anxious. He was pacing wondering why she hadn't answered. "Does she not like me anymore? Is she having second thoughts? What if she only said it to stay my friend?"
Jack felt a piece of him come back together when the phone rang and he seen it was Shantel.
"Shantel! Shantel are you okay? "
"Yes Jack I'm okay."
"Great.... baby."
"Tehe."
