Hiding From The Past

Chapter Six:

My life was officially over.

Everyone knew me and Austin had sex.

And I was now known as a desperate slut.

Point for me!

Later that day I called mom to pick me up.

I told her I was on my period and felt sick and of course she bought it.

"Mom... Can we move?" I ask. Her eyes widen. "Move? Houses?" She says. "No, like schools. We could transfer! Yeah, that would be good" I say.

"Transfer? What other school is close besides Lincoln?" She asked. "That private school! Isn't it like ten minutes away?" I say. "Salem Private School?"

"Yeah!" I say excited. "Sweetie, why do you wanna move? I thought you liked Lincoln. What about your best friend Michael?" She says as if she's worried. "Michael will be fine. Mom, please can we just transfer? The teachers at Lincoln suck!" I whine.

Okay that was a lie.

Lincoln High was known for their great teaching.

"Really?! I thought-"

"Well you thought wrong. Now please mom, let us transfer!" I interrupt.

"Well, okay I'll see. If I do then I'll have to go register you tomorrow" she says. "Yes! Thank you thank you thank you!" I kiss her cheek. "No problem" she chuckles.

Thank God we're moving. I officially hated Lincoln High. Tricia. Ashley. Everyone.

All the name calling was pathetic but it really got to me. How could I do it with my brother?! It was only a matter of time until mom and dad find out.

Beep beep.

It was Michael who had texted.

Michael-  hey): what the hell happened??

Me- you know what happened mike): everyone found out. this is all my fault.

Michael- u shouldn't Belem urself); actually yeah u should... you're basically known as "the slut who did it with her brother"

Me- wow): thanks for making me feel better...

Michael- I'm just sayin... what happened to u?? U changed so much:/

Me- what? how??

Michael- forget it Haley:/ bye
