If you don't understand how being gay is like... let me help you...

Say you are born with blue eyes, and yeah some people like blue eyes but let's say this; say everyone in the world decided to hate blue eyes because of their beliefs that having blue eyes is evil or that it is just wrong.

But can you help it? Can you help that you have blue eyes? No. You can't. But can you cover them up? Yeah, I suppose you could go buy colored contacts, but does it feel right? Does it feel good to cover up who you are just because people don't like it? No. It doesn't... You can say to the world, My eyes are brown! And wear these colored contacts, but are your eyes really brown? No, they are blue.

Yes, some people in the world proudly display the fact that they have these beautiful blue eyes, and yes they would get picked on for it, but does that change anything? No. It will hurt the person sure, but it won't change the fact they have blue eyes.

Can you help it? Can you say to the world that you can change your eye color permanently, and never have blue eyes again?

No...

And would it make you feel better to know that you have brown eyes and the world would stop picking on you? Well, maybe on the fact that the world would stop picking on you, but would you like to know that you are hiding yourself? Hiding who you really are?

No.

See, some people in the world like blue eyes and some despise them. And some people just don't care, now do they?

It’s the same with gay people. People in this world really don't seem to understand that they are born the way they are, and yet if they did, the world would be better.

Think about how much it hurts to hide who you are just because nobody likes what you are.

Cause when it all comes down to it...

You can't help the way you are born. You can hide it sure, but you cannot simply get rid of it.

It's not a disease.

It's the way we are.

And if you people still cannot understand this,

Then think about this, think about what if you were on the other end? If you were the person getting beaten up because of the way you were born?

Would that feel good?

No. It wouldn't.

Think before you act people.

You can't help if you are gay. It's neither a disease nor choice. It's the way we are.
