chapter 8: everything changes part 2

APHMAU'S POV:

Aphmau," LAURENCE?! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?"

Laurence turned around with a dead look in his eyes.

Laurence," you ask why....I have my reasons."

Zane, "well, look at this. The two love birds came."

Garroth, "ZANE! WHAT DID YOU DO TO LAURENCE!"

Zane," what ever do you mean...I didn't do anything. Its what you did that he's like this. I'm just help little Laurence out here."

Aphmau," YOUR LYING LAURENCE WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING TO US!"

I begin to cry and garroth became enraged at this. He charged to attack Zane but what blocked by Laurence.

Laurence," I don't care anymore for you, aphmau or any of Phoenix Drop. I should of just stayed in Meteli.... Or become a shadow knight."

Laurence thankfully still had the amulet and has yet to give it to Zane. I can't believe him..... We had to snap him back to reality. I only were not to late.

Laurence's POV:

I don't get why they won't just go and give up. I don't need them. Aphmau was crying yet she wouldn't care about me before. I managed to throw garroth off and he was pinned down by Lillian. Now it was time.... Aphmau was there, I had to kill her to gain my immortality and become an actual shadow knight.

Laurence, " this is it, lady aphmau..."

She screamed as I raised my sword and went to attack her. Right before my sword hit her she tried to doge. She barely made it she had a huge cut on her arm now. I wanted to slash my sword again but something was stopping me.

Aphmau, "l-laurence....why"

Her voice......it was faint, weak..... Filled with pain...... I hurt her in my attempts to kill her.....

Aphmau," p-please.....what did I do.....is it because your a s-shadow knight? Laurence you know that I still care for y-you and even though your one I don't think your a monster....."

Aphmau....she still cares......but why...

Laurence," then why.........why did you ignore all my times with you. I've told how felt.... But when garroth told you once you immediately say yes....."

Aphmau," Laurence.....I can't return those certain feelings to you but I do Care for you and everyone else. If you were gone I don't know you always try to make me laugh we I've always stressed...."

Before aphmau could continue garroth finally won and killed Lillian... However Zane would have none of this and went to stab aphmau with his sword. Just before he could I got aphmau and saved her and garroth came behind him and stabbed Zane right in the back.

Zane was dead.

Aphmau quickly left my side, still terrified of me...... She was holding her arm....the one I cut. Garroth on the other hand ran over Aph and hugged her.

Garroth," lord aphmau are okay?! What happened?!"

Aphmau," y-yeah, my arm is hurt though. But Garroth, your b-brother-"

Garroth," yes. I know he dead. Zane was horrible person and he was going to kill you. I can't lose you."

Laurence," a-aphmau.....I....I'm sorry..."

Aphmau," Laurence.... Its okay....just please don't leave us like this."

Laurence, "I guess its just hard seeing you and garroth together. After all the times I've told you about how I feel, I just felt ignored and Lillian put the ideas in my head."

Garroth," well... I kind of know how you feel."

Aphmau, "well.....I'm glad this has been resolved. But our troubles aren't over yet.. Zane is dead. O'kahsis ( I think I spelled it right?) Will want to know where the high priest is. We might have to prepare for war...."

Aphmau begain to wince in pain. She still had a huge cut in her arm and was injured. Garroth and I took notice and immediately garroth pick up aphmau bridal style and brought her back to phoenix drop.

Garroth, " Zoey! Aphmau! She's hurt!"

Zoey, " WHAT?! WHAT HAPPENED?!"

Laurence, "long story. No time to explain!"

Zoey, " okay....quick one of you get Lucinda!"

I went and got Lucinda and Garroth stayed behind to comfort aphmau. When Lucinda came she and zoey told us to go away while they worked. Like to distract Levin and Malachi.

Next Levin walked up to garroth.

Levin," gar is mama okay? Levin is don't get it."

Garroth," levin aphmau isn't feeling well. But zoey and Lucinda are doing what they can to make her feel better. Don't worry Levin I'll be sure for as long as I'm alive nothing will ever happen to aphmau again."

Levin went and hugged garroth. Malachi knew what was happening and understood something was wrong. Heh, smart kid.

Garroth, " hey...Laurence?"

Laurence," yeah garroth.."

Garroth, " I'm sorry."

Laurence, " wha- for what it my fault were here."

Garroth, " I mean for not being there for you when I could. This could of been avoided if I had just realized that you were acting different."

Laurence, "yeah but its my fault. I was jealous and selfish. So you a have nothing to be sorry for."

Garroth, "okay."
