Kiss It All Better
Chapter Nine
Spencer's POV
"Morning, Pikachu," Ricky whispered in my ear.
"Morning, Horror," I replied turning over to face him.
"Wow, you're even more beautiful when you wake up," he remarked.
I blushed a deep red and smiled.
"I look horrifying, don't I?" I replied.
"Maybe."
I lightly punched his arm.
His fingers moved quickly down to my stomach and he began tickling me.
"Stop," I begged out of breath from laughing. "Ricky.. Stop.. Please.. It hurts."
He stopped tickling me, but his hands never left my waist. I bent down and captured my lips in his. My arms wrapped around his neck and I rolled over on top of.
"I want pancakes," I whined breaking away from him.
"I'll make you some, Pikachu," he said standing up out of bed in only his boxers. I tired not to stare at his chest, but I couldn't help but look at the tattoos.
He started laughing at me.
"What?" I asked sounding innocent.
"If you like the view, I'll just have to go shirtless more often."
I stuck my tongue out at him.
"You better put that tongue back in your mouth where it belongs," he said.
"Maybe it belongs in your mouth," I mumbled.
"What was that?" He asked coming closer to me.
"Nothing."
"Whatever you say, Pikachu."
He kissed my forehead and walked out of the room, leaving me alone. I fell back on the bed and drifted back off to sleep.
*****
My eyes flew open.
"Ricky!" I called.
"What is it, Pikachu?" He called back.
"Come here."
I pulled my knees to my chest as the dream ran through my head. I began rocking back and forth, shaking, and beginning to have an anxiety attack.
"What is it?" He bursted in the room sounding alarmed.
"Nightmare," I whispered.
He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me, picking me up bridal style.
"I can't let your pancakes burn, Pikachu," he said carrying me to the kitchen and setting me down on the marble counter.
I was still shaking and my anxiety level was really high. I subconsciously began to scratch at my wrist.
"Oh, babe, don't do that," Ricky said taking my hands and interlacing our fingers. Pulling my wrist up to his mouth he kissed it. He leaned in and pecked my lips, then, let go of my hands and continued to make the pancakes.
I began scratching at my wrists again, not doing it on purpose, just because I couldn't help it. The cuts were beginning to itch.
"Pikachu," Ricky said looking me straight in the eyes, "don't. Please."
My hand instantly dropped and found its way into Ricky's. "I'm scared," I told him, hiding my face in his neck.
"There's nothing to be afraid of, I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere," he said.
He placed the last pancake on the plate and turned the stove off.
"Pikachu, look at me," he said tilting my head up to look at him. He stood in between my legs and held my hands in his. "There is absolutely nothing to he scared of, I'm here, I promise I'm not leaving."
He was moving closer to me, and me to him. I placed my hands on the sides of his face. "I know, I'm not leaving either," I told him. I planted my lips on his. His hands traveled around my waist and held me in place.
My stomach growled and I pushed myself away from Ricky.
"Food first, make out later," I said sliding on the counter and grabbing the plate of still hot pancakes.
I began shoveling them in my mouth as if I hadn't eaten in days.
"Slow down, Pikachu, you don't wanna give yourself a stomach ache," Ricky said watching me.
I swallowed what was in my mouth and said, "well if I did get sick, I know you'd be nice and take care of me."
He rolled his eyes. "I would do anything for you, Pikachu."
I smiled at him and continued to eat two more pancakes.
*****
"Hey, Ricky," I began. His attention quickly turned to me.
"Yeah?"
"Do you have a piano?"
"A piano? What for, Pikachu?" He asked turning around and facing me.
"I wanna practice a song," I said putting my hands behind my back and looking at my feet.
"Oh, well, yeah there's one in the back room."
"Thanks," I said and ran to the back room.
There in the middle of the room, was a grand piano. Dust was covering it. I ran my fingers over the top, collecting enough dust to make a bunny.
I wiped off the bench and sat down in front of the piano. My fingers found their ways to the keys and I began playing.
Once it take to the vocals, I began to sing, "You say that Gainesville's got no soul
Well that sounds like a good excuse for coming home
And all these Tallahassee skylines
They keep singing out a song
I know it's your song
They've been singing all night long
And this Galley Alley rooftop
Just keeps calling out your name
To come and stay
So stay
So stay."I closed my eyes and thought about Ricky.
"Stay and watch the stars come out and then the sun as they all fade away
I'll sing every song I wrote if it'll make you wanna stay
And then I'll say
That I missed you
And these words
They'll convince youI poured through every song I wrote
Every line that I've cried every note that was spilt with this pen
And every line in every song, they all seemed to come out wrong,
Until your song
And we'll sing it all night long
And this Tallahassee skyline hasn't changed
And while the view from every rooftop says to stayStay and watch the stars come out and then the sun as they all fade away
I'll sing every song I wrote if it'll make you wanna stay
And it'll say,
That I missed you,
And these words,
They'll convince youAnd I could call you 'baby doll' all the time
And you'd whisper in my ears, you'd say, "I missed you boy"
So sing it over again, and over again, and over againAnd I could call you 'baby doll' all the time
And you'd whisper in my ears, you'd say
"I missed you boy"
Sing it over again, and over again, and over againStill you'd say
That I missed you
And these words
They'll convince you
And I'm hoping as I kiss youAnd I could call you 'baby doll' all the time
And you'd whisper in my ears, you'd say
"I missed you boy"
Sing it over again, and over again, and over again," I continued."And I could call you 'baby doll' all the time
And you'd whisper in my ears, you'd say
"I missed you boy"
Sing it over again, and over again, and over again," I finished the song. Tears streamed down my face and fell onto the piano."I think I'm in love."
