chapter 9 ✦ lord hades

Daylight still hung over the smokey sky of the Underworld and I found myself wondering what happens when dark descends. My pace quickened and quickened in the woods as I ran away from the graveyard. I could barely see anything because of the dense mist that clouded my vision. My legs soon got tired and I slowed down into a walk. I kept my eyes on the dirt of the forest and huffed out. As I stared down my own footsteps, I started to notice enormous paw prints. I stopped, bending down to my knees and examined them. They didn't look like anything I've seen before, nothing like the creatures I've dealt with in Neverland or the Enchanted Forest. 

"Interesting, right?" A voice spoke up. My head jolted up from my gaze at the ground. Nobody was there. I slowly stood up, scanning my surroundings for whoever was watching me. "Over here." I snapped my fingers at the voice and a cloud of mist appear around my right hand. In a second, a sword was gripped in my hand. I swung around, ready to fight to see a man in a suit. I mentally rolled my eyes at the number of suits I've seen in this realm. He smiled, cheerfully at me, moving closer to me. I backed away from him and he held his hands out. "I'm not going to hurt you, Riley."

"How do you know my name?" I snapped, lifting my sword up, pointing it at him. 

"I kind of know everything," He shrugged then, a smirk crept onto his face. "Allow me to introduce myself," He started, leaning into a bow. "Hades." 

"So, you're like Satan?"

"But better," He smiled, adjusting his tie and I rolled my eyes at his cockiness.

"Why would Hades, King of the Underworld want to talk to me?" I pointed out, lifting my sword. He started to circle me, looking down at the ground with his hands moving towards his back and wrapping together. He had a big grin on his face like something was up. "I mean, you have to better things to do." 

"That's why I'm here. I wanted to make my workload less heavy," He hinted and stopped walking, looking up at me. "I'm gonna make you an offe-"

"Not interested," I immediately reject, turning around and walking away. 

"You didn't let me finish," He appeared right in front of me, making me back away in defense with my sword pointed at him. "It's about you dear old dad." 

"And I give a damn about him, why?" I sneered and Hades' smile grew even larger. 

"That's exactly what I wanted to hear," Hades clapped his hands then, putting his hands to his sides. "You see the deal is about your father. You help me and I'll help you move on." 

"Why would you help me? You're Hades. Wouldn't losing a soul be bad for business?" He nodded at my statement and moved towards me before stopping a few inches in front of me. 

"Yes, but I'll be getting your friend's souls instead. It's a win-win," He smirked and I thought about his deal. I thought back to a few days ago and why Emma was here.  She wasn't here for me. As a matter of fact, none of them were. They were here to retrieve that son of a bitch that I used to call my papa. My eyes darkened a little bit at the very idea at his existence. I looked up at Hades and nodded. 

"Deal," I held my hand out and he gladly took it.

Sorry it was short. Hey guys! I've been really busy with school and stuff. I wanted to update this week because I'm on spring break, but I have a bad case of writer's block for this particular story so this is the best I could do. I feel like the show isn't that interesting to me right now, but that's just me because I have a lot going on right now in my life that is taking my attention away from the show and my writing :/. I also feel like people only watched this half of the season because old villains were coming back like Peter Pan. I heard that the show is at a record low, but I do know there is going to be a season 6 so yay. I also feel like my writing is dying out hence my writer's block haha. I am taking summer classes in June to help improve it so I can get back in the game.  If any of you guys have an idea for this story, please feel free to comment an idea.

Second thing, I am writing a peter pan short story and I want to know if you guys would think it'd be cool if I incorporated Run Boy Run into it somehow at the end. I'm stuck on how to end it. I need help LOLOLOL!!!! It'll be up soon. I'm stuck between three different endings and I don't want to give them away because it'll ruin the story. I just want you guys to be satisfied with my writing because I don't like to disappoint people. It makes me very nervous when it comes to disappointing the amazing people that read my books. That's why I'm always on edge when I try to update because I want you guys to be happy with the stories and when I don't update, I feel bad because I was so used to writing daily so I feel out of my routine. So please comment what you guys think I should do.
