CHAPTER 1: I'll just take a quick walk
"My goodness is it ever hustling today!" I exclaimed to myself while bumping into people. I was walking down Church Street, my blonde curls slightly bouncing as I walked, my emerald green eyes glancing into the passing shops. Well, how about you get to know me first.
My name is Hannah Summers. I'm 17, and not what you would call average. I don't try to fit into the popular crowd and I don't care. I'm quite short for my age but hey, I'm light weight, and I've been told my look is unique, but my favorite part of me is my eyes. I attend a marine biology school in central London. Oh, and I live in an ultra modern flat over the Hilton Hotel and I swear its massive, and it looks like I live in a skyscraper! But I don't live there by myself; I live there with my 5 best friends. And the school pays for it.
Anyway half term is coming up, so my friends had all left to go shopping without me. Why would they do that? you may think. It's because I've been cursed with being a brilliant cook, so I am left to cook for my friends...all the time may I add. But I don't mind, I'm not asked to do much. Plus we have enough food in our flat to last an apocalypse. So, I set a pot full of water on the stove. I sat there watching the water waiting for it to boil....after what seems like an eternity the water is at a steady boil.I add in the pasta and stir every few minutes.Ten minutes later I strain the pasta and put it off to the side.
I sat down on the sofa watching a bit of TV waiting for my friends to come back.
"Well looks like I've got some time to kill" I announced to the empty house.I might as well take a quick walk! So I grabbed my jacket and headed out.
The cold wind whipped my face as I walked down the street, being bumped in every direction by a crowd of shoppers. Soon I was done being bumped so I decided to return home to finish off dinner. That's when I heard an unusual amount of screaming and me being the curious girl I am, I went to investigate.
As I walked closer the screams got louder and my heart started to beat faster the closer I got. I soon turned the corner and a strange feeling over came me. I could hear the sound of running footsteps nearing me, so I began to walk a little faster. Soon I realized I was full on running. Why? There were hundreds of screaming girls barreling towards me. I came up on a dark alley and saw it as my only escape from the crowd of girls, I quickly turned into the alley and watched as the girls ran right by. Then I heard a noise and turned to see what it was but soon stopped when I felt a hand wrap around my mouth. I began to wiggle and tears brimmed my eyes as I tried to free myself from their grip, but they were too strong. I heard a deep voice behind me and I tried to scream, only to be disappointed by the sound that came out,as I remembered that there was a hand over my mouth. The voice began to speak.
"Now if we let go, you have to promise not to scream, okay?" I tried to reply but it just sounded muffled, so I shook my head instead and I felt the hand release. The first thing I managed to mutter was,
"Please don't hurt me," and I heard a different voice say, "We are not going to hurt you." Then I was lead to a break in the alley and five figures appeared blurry so I wiped my tears and there they were...
