He was a beautiful mistake.
It was a normal bright, sunny saturday in the town of bummingham. My friends had just got on the bus for The Polar Plunge. I wake up around noon and go with my day.
My day was pretty simple since I had recently just had surgery on my right leg and I was to "take it easy". I lay on my bed and watch "Friends" on Netflix awaiting a text from my best friend sarah saying the Polar Plunge is over and wanting to know how it went.
My phone buzzed, I looked down. It reads "Hey, I'm having some people over tonight around 8, be there!" I immediately got so excited because I haven't done anything with my friends since the surgery.
My mother brings me supper and I tell her of my plans for the evening. She confirmed that I could leave the house.
I start getting ready. I put on my dark, washed out, boot-cut jeans, I grab my newer pair of Ariat boots, and I throw on my dark green and blue flannel. I sit down and straighten my hair, as I only had an hour to get ready and I do my make up very subtle.
I look in the mirror and I'm ready.
