Once upon a time there was a mother of twins. She was too poor to raise them on her own, but what she didn’t know about her children was that when they were born something incredible happened something that hasn’t happened in a thousand years. A green, a beautiful vibrant green filled the sky. In the three minutes between the times they were born. The three minutes made it seem as if the girls were born in times very different ,but only 3 minutes apart Sydney the older by 3 minutes was born on December 31, 1999 at 11:58 P.M. and Brooklyn the younger on January 1, 2000 at 12:01 A.M.
They were born in two different centuries their mom did not know this and that their fate would be something beyond normal. She was too tired and on the brink of death, but her last wish was, for the girls to grow up in a good environment and become best of friends and to think that is was just fate that made them look alike and they somehow had that cliché window thing their mom was a book lover and had weird dreams.
The two, identical, had the most vibrant green eyes like the green that filled the sky the time they were born. They had perfectly tanned skin and jet black hair with a ton of freckles to go with it. When they grew up they thought it was really weird that they liked the exact same things and were allergic to the same things. Their nurse did try to grant their mothers wish. She left the two on the door steps of two neighbors she knew were close since their mother put them in her care. Their mother also left the girls with a book one that had been in their generations for centuries. Okay enough of that introduction stuff here’s the real once upon a time.
Once upon a time 2 girls, Sydney and Brooklyn, were super excited for their birthday. They were finally going to be 18 and ready to face the real world, but what they didn’t know was that when midnight struck they would be far from the real world, but the exact opposite. As their party came to an end, they headed to their tree house to spend their last night together. Till they were officially adults and midnight was very close. They had fallen asleep as time slowly ticked by. By midnight the girls were fast asleep, so they didn’t see what happened at midnight. When the same green light filled the sky once again, like when they were born the most beautiful green you would have ever seen. When Brooklyn woke up the next morning being the early bird she is, she woke up first. She felt the warm sensation of the sun and the feeling of tiny things poking her face. When she looked down she saw she was looking at green grass. In an instant her eyes jolted open not feeling drowsy anymore. Jumping up faster than the speed of light, she was indeed not in her the tree house, but in Neverland. There was a beautiful wooden sign that had the word Neverland carved in it with the most beautiful flowers she’d ever seen, growing on top. Wait, she thought, Neverland like the book she and Sydney always read at kids. When she spotted Sydney on another patch of grass, hesitating to run to her noticing the water surrounding the islands, but once she noticed the water wasn’t that deep she ran.
Noticing she wasn’t getting wet all the while yelling at Sydney, “Sid! Sid! Were in Neverland!”
Sydney only sighed and turned away from Brooklyn waving her off and saying, “Go away can’t I sleep a few more minutes you know I hate to wake up early.” Only after she said that she felt really soft green grass “Wait! Neverland! Only the best book in the world with on the best fairytales ever and the best happy endings!”
“Yep well at least I think. There’s a sign and this place seems magical, I wonder how we got here.”
Sydney jumped up at the thought, “We could go explore, maybe we’ll meet the princes and princesses and magical people just like how we read it, but it’ll feel like real life.”
“Okay which way first. I can’t believe we might actually be in the book!” Brooklyn practically screamed, having a fan girl moment.
