The Day

The day,
the day he did it.
Tyler didn't want Zack to see it.
He didn't want him to worry.
He didn't want Zack to fear for him.
Why did he do it?
Because he couldn't find hope.
He couldn't find happiness.
He couldn't find color.

His world was Black and White.
He never saw colors.
He never saw Red.
Orange.
Yellow.
Green.
Blue.
Purple.
He never saw Pink.
He never saw anything colorful.
Only Black and White.

Until he met Josh.
Josh Dun.
Thats when Tyler saw his first color.
Red.
That color, Red, was very special.
Josh was very special.

Colors appeared everywhere.
Anything that he saw had color.

Even the blood that came from his wrists and his stomach.

When Josh saw the blood on the floor,
he cried.

its your fault, tyler. you made your bestfriend, josh, cry.

"You're right.. its always my fault."

Thats when his blade hit his wrist one last time.
He told Josh about it.
He cheered Tyler up with Taco Bell.
But he wasn't cheerful after that night.

The next night, Josh was gone.
Tyler picked up his phone.
He looked at Josh's shared location.
He drove there.
He saw a pale, lifeless body.
With Red hair.
Laying on the asphalt.

Tyler fell to his knees.
Crying and slamming the ground with his fist.
Making his knuckles bloody, purposely.

Tyler wept,
"Why Josh? Why choose Josh?"

The colors started fading away.
But Red stayed.
Red stayed because thats all he saw on himself.
