****Sorry it took so long to post this chapter!! ****
( and yes please dont mind the erors, i was in a rush)
During the next couple of weeks at school, everything was quiet. (Mia had never glanced at Eric after he gave her the note, and stayed far away from us as possible.)
We did have lots of exams coming up though, due to the end of the year.
Eric and I were studying so much, that sometimes when we talked, we'd say mathematical equations, or science facts out of the blue.
It was quite funny really.
My mom was to go to the hospital in a few days to get ready for the birth.
My parents were both in such good moods these days, that if either me or Christy were to break a vase, they would probably just dance around singing and smiling.
But I definitely thought that my dad was the most excited.
He was checking off days on every calendar around the house and was singing off-key all the time.
I came home from school and instead of doing my homework with Eric, we went to our own houses and decided to study alone for the huge exam next week.
It was Friday.
After dinner I went back to my room to study some more.
I was determined to do well in the exams.
It was really dark out when i checked the time.
2:09am the clock read.
Wow, I didn't realize it was this late.
I decided to do about another half an hour of work.
I was copying down some English literature in my notebook, and I looked at the time again.
4:56am.
4:56am. 4:56am. 4:56am......
I was equally surprised by this, but there was something weird about the time.
It rang in my ears mockingly, yet there were no sounds.
I had a strange case of de-ja-vu just then, but different.....somehow. In a unique way.
Maybe even scary.
I shivered.
I decided to go to bed.
I reached toward the lamp to turn it off.
But then something happened.
I saw it before I felt it or even heard it.
It all happened in a second.
A blinding red light engulfed my vision. I couldn't even see my room, just the light.
Then it felt like the whole world was shaking vilolently, and a huge, loud exloding noise attacked my ears.
I screamed as something fell on top of me, knocking me down.
I could hear other screams coming from everywhere else.
Was this an earthquake? Couldn't be.
I was avoiding the truth.
I felt the whole house shake and all saw was red, orange shapes forming everywhere as my house crumbled.
It felt like one of those night mares when you're falling, falling, falling down, and you don't know when you're going to hit the ground but you always wake up in time.
